I always loved **** Clark. His bandstand show brought us together. Black and white kids learned to love the music from their own favorites and Motown and Rock and Roll brought kids together. i truly believe music was the beginning of integration.  Those old enough to remember, this is where the blending began in such a happy way. We learned to appreciate and liked the different styles and most kids loved it!!  We learned the latest dances from "The Bop" . "the Twist", the Watusi and on and on. Rest in peace **** Clark.  you made so many teens so happy, and  no we are the old folks! We can thank **** Clark for being an important part of accepting and liking the different styles we can now enjoy as "just people" having fun!
