I am so tired of the politically correct, cover your backside rhetoric of all parties involved in this travesty. Yes, I meant travesty not tragedy. It was a tragedy the day it happened, but the Feds handling of it has been a travesty. Mr. Obama is now no better than Mr. Bush. His claiming the government has been in control only confirmed even more why we need to dissolve the government as we know it and start over. If they have been in control why all the red tape and ignoring requests and not responding to the needs of the communities in the Gulf. One of the executives made a comment about not acknowledging the gravity sooner -- hello, they still have not admitted and just said, "Hey we screwed up -- we knew there were issues with the rigs and we did nothing to stop it!"
I totally agree. I like that the governor of LA finally said we have had enough of your crap Nobama and we're gonna do something about it ourselves. And they did. The governor said that if he had been allowed to do so earlier, that oil would not have reached the shore. I also heard that most of LA told Nobama that his lack of concern for this travesty will cost him in his political career.
Cold, hard and whatever! Once more, your imaginations is out running the truth. There are no rumors of evacuation of Tampa. A quick search of bus, train and plane resources show no plans for such. Also, no National Guard, Reserve or Active forces being sent to the area.

A release of benzene gas in the atmosphere would have the results of an ant farting in a tornado. Now, of you really want something to sweat over, I could give you a dozen. For instance, the big brother of the Iceland volcano is showing signs of awakening. If it does, forget visiting Europe by plane. By ship, probably.

If you really, really want something to worry on, in the past few decades, Yellowstone has been moving and rising. It is something like 30,000 years past due to erupt. When and if it does, most of North America will be under an ash cloud. Seems I heard the last time one of these super volcanoes erupted, a sizable portion of human life did not survive. Maybe today we would do somewhat better than some 30k or 40k years ago, but -----
We need to worry more ! We ain't doing enough of it.
Edited to say sorry, I don't know why my response included your post without the proper credit. All I did was point and click .
there are lots of disturbing factors in play here.. the "live feed" video is a loop.. GS shorted Transocean the day before it blew.. just like they profited from the airline disaster of 9/11 and the housing bubble.. we aren't being told the truth by anybody period.. but you go right ahead and defend your hero ventor

Yes, the Yellowstone eruption would be catastrophic. However, worrying more just makes money for headshrinkers, tranquilizer manufacturers and bars.

I thought the Republican mantra was "be afraid, be very afraid". Wink

Only because most of your reading is limited to leftwing propaganda! Actually, we're a happy bunch!
