"Snail mail" still has a lot of uses but one in particular would be for businesses to send and receive checks. Credit and Check cards are not always practical, no business wants their larger payments to be made by credit card where they have to pay around 2.5% for a processing fee and a lot of the larger wholesalers and raw material suppliers will not accept them at all because of that. Some say that 2.5% is not that much but if you’re payment is 50K that “little fee” comes out to $1250.00 so a P.O. Box or a good locking mailbox would be a wise choice, also remember that if you pay things like your utility bill with a check/credit card that they charge a convenience fee, a stamp is a lot cheaper.
