In the past Monet and her crowd of two have called many of the women on here prostitutes. I suppose that was the most brilliant accusation their limited intellect could come up with. They have called two women on here witches, even drawing cartoons of them.
Tonight I sign on and see that Simera12, that new age priestess of whatever, has implied a lady on the forum who possesses a master's degree "earned" it by plying her feminine wiles, shall we say.
This topic was locked, but the post was not deleted. The sad part is that no matter how idiotic such accusations are, there are always some people who will believe them.
I don't know what it will take to censor this forum. I realize you don't have the time or manpower at present. I have never had the slightest inclination to sue anyone, but I'm sure that can't be said for everyone. I know many women who have husbands who are rich and powerful enough to sue over such hogwash. The TD doesn't need that right now, not when heads are already rolling.
If we on the forum know the names of two of these ethically challenged posters, I'm sure you do also. I am respectfully asking that you at least make clear to them that such accusations will not be tolerated on this forum.
I totally agree with you. I remember thinking about suing for liable awhile back, because of a poster spreading hellaciously stupid lies about me, publicly on here. I could have, too. But then thought that would only amount in the pleasure of the person doing it, thinking they got the best of me by me reacting like that.
However, it definitely crossed my mind.
If it crossed my mind, I'm sure others have thought about it, and who knows, may in the future sue.
I feel so bad that the person you are talking about, FV, has had to go through all this. It seems silly and childish, and actually a bit preventable with the right moderation. I know this, as an admin on another place much bigger than this one, it /IS/ avoidable and preventable. Why there hasn't even been filters put in to help by now, I have no idea.

Joy, sweetheart, I definitely agree with you. That's one reason why I've stopped coming around here as much as I used to. The other reason is because my husband has joined the military and goes to Basic in a few months- so spending as much time with him as possible. This place did get /very/ mean there for awhile, and in the week or two that I've been dipping my toe back into reading here- I see that some of that hasn't changed.
Here's to hoping that something is done to help this forum.
