Thompson's BBQ and Slaw?

Last weekend, our local grocery store had a sign posted that said "we will no longer have Thompson's bbq & slaw because they have gone out of business". Our family has enjoyed Thompson's bbq over 40 years and we will dearly miss it. Does anyone know of a grocery that sells vinegar slaw and bbq similar to Thompson's? We don't like mustard or hot slaw and prefer some sauce on our bbq.

Lucky14, I too last week looked at 3 stores for the Thompson slaw, a young man at Wallmart told me he though they had gone out of bussness, We had our Golf outing , and I allways like a mixture of type slaw. I really liked the Thompson Slaw. The stores did not even have Buneys ..ever how you spell it, so I got som Dick Howell's. What we going to do? For BBQ Bob Gibsons slaw is good, I guess if I am in Decatur or Huntsville stop and get a Qt. of that. Someone was talking of a lady that made slaw and had it at ... not sure Big Star or Foodland in Killen. I will sure need some this week end , maybe I can make some.

I played Golf at RTJ this morning, when we finished playing around 12:30 , another group had just had a BBQ Plates for their outing ,and left out playing a Scramble . A Mr. Bishop from Cherokee , as I was talking to Mr Bishop he gave my friend and I a plate , very nice man, very good BBQ , pulled Pork Roast and Baked Beans and some Slaw . Vinigar Slaw as Bob Gibson's. it was very good. I was talking to him about the Slaw and told him Thompson's we can no longer get it, he told me all that equipment was for Sale. He did give me the recipe for the Slaw Wink He said he had one Huge BBQ Pit he uses to cook his Butt Roasts. he has a web site Link
