There were 3 good arguments that Jesus was Black:
1. He called everyone brother
2. He liked Gospel
3. He didn't get a fair trial

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Jewish:
1. He went into His Father's business
2. He lived at home until he was 33
3. He was sure his Mother was a virgin and his Mother was sure He was God

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Italian:

1. He talked with His hands
2. He had wine with His meals
3. He used olive oil

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Californian:
1. He never cut His hair
2. He walked around barefoot all the time
3. He started a new religion

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was an American Indian:
1. He was at peace with nature
2. He ate a lot of fish
3. He talked about the Great Spirit

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Irish:
1. He never got married..
2. He was always telling stories.
3. He loved green pastures.

But the most compelling evidence of all - 3 proofs that Jesus was a woman:
1. He fed a crowd at a moment's notice when there was virtually no food
2. He kept trying to get a message across to a bunch of men who just didn't get it
3. And even when He was dead, He had to get up because there was still work to do

One bright, beautiful Sunday morning, everyone in tiny Jonestown wakes up early and goes to their local church. Before the service starts, the townspeople sit in their pews and talk about their lives and their families.

Suddenly, at the altar, Satan appears!! Everyone starts screaming and running for the front entrance, trampling each other in their determined efforts to get away from Evil Incarnate. Soon, everyone is evacuated from the church except for one man, who sit calmly in his pew, seemingly oblivious to the fact that God's ultimate enemy is in his presence. This confuses Satan a bit. Satan walks up to the man and says, "Hey, don't you know who I am?" The man says, "Yep, sure do."

Satan says, "Well, aren't you afraid of me?" The man says, "Nope, sure ain't."

Satan, perturbed, says, "And why aren't you afraid of me?" The man says, "Well, I've been married to your sister for 25 years."

How very odd.

Hi Jennifer,

Not really.  In the Jewish culture of that day, a man could not start his ministry until he was 30 years old.  The last meaningful event in the life of Jesus as a child was when He was in the temple, at age twelve.

Until He was twelve, I am sure He was just another well mannered young boy, helping His father, Joseph, in their carpentry business and playing with His siblings.

When He was age twelve, the family was returning from the feast when Joseph and Mary noticed that Jesus was not with the travelers,  In Luke 2:46 they found Him, "Then, after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions."

And, when Joseph and Mary found Him in the temple, He told them in Luke 2:49, "And He said to them, 'Why is it that you were looking for Me?  Did you not know that I had to be in My Father's house?' "

Until the age of thirty, when Jewish men could begin ministry work, and since His father, Joseph, had seemingly died -- I am sure that He was being an obedient son, helping support the family through His carpentry work.

Then, at age thirty, we read of Him coming to John the Baptist to be baptized -- and thus, His ministry and His reason for coming to earth in a mortal body -- began.

And, we can all praise God for the gift of His Son.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

You'd think they'd have kept better tabs on the "son of god".

Went off to Asia didn't he?  (speculation of some)

But regardless, if it were important, I'm sure it would have been told in the Book.  Like many other things man and woman argues and debates on. To me, if it's not told about at least in some fashion in the Bible, then it's not that big a deal.  Does entertain the thoughts though.
