The people who are screaming the most about being outraged by what Tiger did are the same ones who were SOOOO quick to forgive Clinton for his indiscretions. Odd, considering how much more important Clinton's position (no pun intended) was than Tiger's. Since when did golf become such a morally conscious-game?
I'm right 97% of the time. Who cares about the other 4%?!?

How am I doing that, seeing as how I'm WHITE?!? It is my opinion that there is no gray area on the subject, therefore, one might say it is a black/white thing, but not in reference to one's color. What was done was either wrong or right. There can be no in-between. Tiger was wrong. Get over it. That's all I was saying.
They could be, but considering what Clinton had to go back to I think I might have been a little more tempted.
I watched the Tiger thing because I play Golf and it was a point of interest. Given the benefit of the doubt, maybe he is truly sorry for what he did and will make his life turn around for the better. I hope he does because I think he is probably the best golfer I have ever seen. I did not like his arrogance when he firt came out. He had begun to mellow out and become more open to the press and the people. Hopefully he will come away from this a better person.

In my opinion Golf and being a public person makes him morally responsive to the public. Golf in and of its self may not be a "moral" thing unless you have played with some of the characters I have seen. This man is held in high esteem by millons of young people all over the world. I am NOT his greatest fan, but I have been guilty of things and asked for forgiveness before and I am not a Tiger Type. Stewart Cink fits my thoughts of a decent person and a good public figure.

Pineywoodscat, I hear what your saying but one problem is parent are not informing their children that the likes of Tiger Woods are nothing more than athletes.

The public and media have placed these people on these high pedestals.

Bill Cannon (counterfeiter), Rick Tocchet (gambling ring), Allen Iverson (hit woman with chair), Dany Heatley (2nd degree vech homicide, no jail time), Alex Rodriguez (admitted taking steroids), Micheal Vick (financed dog fighting), and Rick Hendrick (convicted of mail fraud)

All have been forgiven by the public and media. Well maybe not Vick.

I still say only owed an apology to his family.

I was looking at some news show and a woman was saying Tiger Woods owed the women he was with an apology. Why should he apologize when it takes two to tango and they knew he was married with children?

Why does the media not demand they make a public apology?

flo,
You are right. Those women knew what they were doing. He was wrong, and so were they, and they should be doing the apology to Tiger's wife for what they did. He does not owe them an apology. Both are just as guilty.

Come out and apologize to whom. He owed you, I, or anyone else nothing.

I see the PGA has not kicked him out.

No, not me. I really don't care. I am saying he used a image of a good family guy and I think that is alot the reason he was picked for so many commercials. The PGA won't either, just like the NBA and NFL doesn't kick everyone that does wrong out. It's sports not politics or religion.

He was picked because he is the best or one of the best at golf. Micheal Jordan was picked because he was the best or one of the best at basketball when he played. There are many good family guy image members of the PGA but they are not better than Tiger Woods or chosen to endorse products.

Companies want winners to endorse their products. You really think Nike cares how many women he slept with? All they want is for his image to sell their product. Because if he is not selling Nike products, he would be selling products for someone else.

Just take Kobe Bryant of instance. Coke came back, he was on the cover of video games and commercials for some (non basketball), Nike, Aston Martin and others never left.
He's a snake, a snake that is extremely good as golf. Frankly, I don't care to know anything else about this man's personal life. Of course, I don't care to know about any celebrity's or athlete's personal life, which is apparently not the case with most of America. I'm sure his wife really appreciates her humiliation being spouted by every news source in the country. If the media had a shred of decency, they'd let it go, but they don't.

I think his fans were disappointed as well as parents of children that thought he was great, but I agree that this is a personal matter. Maybe this will teach people not to put someone on a pedestal and think they can do no wrong simply because they are talented.

JMHO
I agree with Joy, the man is a snake!
I think he apologized because he got caught. This thing of going to rehab because of a sexual addiction is crazy. The next time he cheats on his wife, I guess his excuse will be that he was weak & "needed a fix".
His wife should kick him to the curb & take what she can get before he gives her some disease.
Personally as a person i thought before all this Tiger was a great golfer but had issues with the fans because he trew fits on and off the golf course. Now just look that magic his mental toughness is gone hes human now and i dont think he can handle all the pressure of whats going on. Johnny Miller said its stress he said I know about that well Tiger stay away and get your life in some order then when your ready with no excuses come back open up to us fans on the course say Hi and just play golf.
