I am glad you posted your experience in Miscellaneous becasue it is most definitely not news! LOL!

My husband and I have had this happen several times. We won't get a paper, we call and they say another one will be delivered that day or the next and it never comes. I too have wondered why they say they will bring it when they don't. Honestly I would just rather them take that day off my bill because normally my husband doesn't want to wait that long for the paper to get delivered so he just goes to the store and gets one. But of course, that would never happen.

Also, I've had bad experience with not getting all of the Sunday paper coupon/store ad inserts. I have called my mother and some other friends before and they will have more inserts than I have. I do a lot of coupon shopping so I really look forward to getting my coupon inserts in Sunday paper and it ticks me off when I dont get ones that others in our area do!!

Different areas get different ads, based on what the advertiser wants.

My parents didn't get their paper Saturday. They called and were told that one carrier was doing several routes.

I guess people got tired of getting up early and delivering the paper and not getting paid.

This independent contractor stuff is ridiculous. Hire people to deliver the paper.

It might not be news, but people are paying for the paper and they ought to get it. And when they don't get it, something should be done. Good luck trying to get credit for the missed paper.

Rest assured, If there was another paper available I would change immediately. The comics are even lousy. At least one of them is going away. Oh well, I learned to read once before, I could do it again if needed.

I know that different areas get different ads, but if we are all getting the Times Daily we should all get the same ads. I dont expect to get the same ads as say Huntsville, but if my mom lives in Killen and I live in Greenhill and my friend lives in Muscle Shoals and half the time we won't all have the same ads/coupons because say I will have one and my mom and friend wont or they will have one and I won't but we all get the Times Daily.

I've been told the individual delivery guys, or gals, have to stuff them in with the sections and if they don't want to, they throw them out.
