PBA: ENOUGH ALREADY! Who do you think you are the AP wire? You have clogged this board with newstories like you were Walter Cronkite himself. I don't know about everyone else, I vowed to ignore you but this is getting to the point of ridiculous! GO TO A NATIONAL BOARD AND LEAVE THIS ONE ALONE! There are plenty out there. You obviously don't know or don't care what is happening in the Shoals area and I for one will tell what I know A LOT of posters are wishing, that you would disappear! THE DOG

Thanks for you views!! But if there is so much going on in the shoals,Why have you not posted it? Number one, I live here in the Shoals and I think it's good to talk about local things as well as state and national.
I can't believe how many closed minded people live in the Shoals. You want to keep it local but TimesDaily's message board, like other message boards, is national.

I have kinfolks as far as Seattle that reads the TimesDaily on-line and go to the message boards not as participants but as guests. TimesDaily is just not local, it is national.

All you have to do is put in TimesDaily's web address from any state in the United States and they can view how us southerners talk. I know all my posts are not the best posts but their informative.

Just like Smurff yesterday popped up a new story from Russellville about the DA and beat most news outlets to the story. Talk about the local things, there's a lot of things that's happened since Saturday in the Shoals that have not made the newspapers and you haven't posted. If so many people cared about local stories, they would post them.

How come they are not posting them? You and a few others want to talk about the local gas prices going up, little nit picky stuff that nobody else has an interest in. So, start posting some local stuff dog. But make it interesting for everybody, not just a few.

What little local stuff you have posted has been boring. Bring up some local politics instead of who you are going to vote for.

I think it would be nice if we got involved in some local things because we have some corrupt politicians here as well as we do on state and national level. I'll make a deal with you. You put some stuff thats interesting and I'll join in with you. Ball's in your park.
Thank God and Greyhound PBA you are on my ignore list and HAVE been for a long time so I can't read any of your replies only the one after another boring topics which I usually DON'T open BUT if you can hog a board I can block you. I will do this to every one of your AP newswire posts EVERYDAY so let's have fun Walter or Barbara or whoever you THINK you are! THE DOG

You are something and I could care less about your post or what you think about my post! Now do me a BIG FAVOR BEFORE I CALL THE RABIES CONTROL ON YOU, GET OUT OF MY HAIR! YOU DON'T OWN THE MESSAGE BOARD,AND I CAN'T HELP IT IF YOU DON'T POST ONE OR TWO A DAY.
PBA: I think what Dog was trying to state was that there is no need to clog up the board with a story that is currently the #1 story in the U.S. If folks want to read about the tornadoes, being the #1 story, they can easily find it by clicking on any news website, whether it is local, state, or national news type. IT is on every front page....and will be page 1 in most newspapers tomorrow.

Maybe Florence City Schools will learn from this and let the children go home before the storm hits. That could have very well been one of our schools.

Better for the parents to have the option to come get their kids than for some of the kids to go home to an empty house, IMO. Admittedly, Lauderdale County schools were already out due to a prescheduled break between terms, so it didn't have an effect on either school's schedule.

Remember that not all other schools closed, as well. While Northwest Shoals Community College closed between 11 and 5, UNA stayed open the entire day, and our facilities are no more secure than Florence City's.
