I challenge anyone especially the Times Daily to come to approx. 14800-15000 Hwy 72 West (about 6 miles West) but on the East bound side (heading in to town) and see the trash piled up. It's been there for more than 6 mos. and it's getting larger. The newspaper should put a picture of this on the headlines that reads, "Welcome to Tuscumbia/M. Shoals...we take pride in our area." The State Highway Dept is more concerned with an illegal sign than someone making a trash dump on a public right of way. I'm from Louisiana and we lost the chance for a Toyota Plant because Toyota said we were "too trashy" along our roadways...yea right! Tupelo, Ms. got the plant but I don't know how....they are just as trashy here and in Miss. I challenge someone to get a picture of this in the newspaper, NOW! Why hasn't our Visitors Bureau on Hwy. 72 @ the Music Hall of Fame called someone...do they know what visitors drive by coming in to town? Do we want the National Rail Car Co. execs looking at this pile of trash every day driving home from work? Where are your County Commissioners/Police Jury members, or the Trash Police??? This may even be a toxic dump..who knows?
