I'm posting this for those of you that have said you like Bill Gray & believe him to be a real Christian. Otherwise, you may not see it.

In the topic "I'm Outta Here" by O No, Bill was doing his usual preaching, & not one word about O No's leaving the forum. I made the comment to Bill that he just couldn't find it within himself to say a kind word to O No.

This is his comment to me.

Oh, ye of little faith!!   May God turn your raisins into prunes!!!  And, make you eat them!! Y'all come back now, ya heah?"

Is this the words/attitude of a Christian? The words of someone that should have love/compassion for his fellow man/woman? It’s so sad that he presents himself as a representative of Christ.

Most of the devout right are members of the Dominionism movement, intended to recreate America as a strictly Christian nation governed by biblical law, mush like the sharia law they are so vehemently opposed too.   Try to remember that their opinions are of little value, and that they are deluded by visions of self-aggrandizement.   Bigotry knows no boundaries.

Bill's nothing but a troll. You should know that by now. He's just as eccentric as the Westboro folks. No matter how much evidence or proof you give him, he will never remove his fingers from his ears to hear it, nor his hands from over his eyes to see it. But he will always have his pie hole open, vomiting up nonsense.

Leave it lefty to try to hijack this thread.

I'm sorry you are incorrect Ditto. That is not the Christian Goal at all.

Most of the laws already in this country are based on Judaea/Christian principals anyway.

Back to Bill. He only represents a small number of Christian's view. And indeed his tone

with Ono was un-Christian like. Ono I feel is a Good Christian and a Good Person.

Glad you posted that semi, you're about 35% believer? so you know bill gray isn't

a true Christian anyway. ONo is about seven pay grades higher than prune boy.

Why are you sorry that I'm not correct???

And how can a law be based on Judaea/Christian(sic) principals?  Can you give one example?

 Aww naw tic, bad doggie.

On behalf of O No you are not getting away with that.

The only reason you and deup ship hate to see her go is because you bullied her and fun at her expense.

Well she don’t have to associate with the likes.

Leave her alone.[Bad post by me I accused tic wrong. Tic is a good guy. Forgive me tic]

well, let's see -

thou shalt not kill.

thou shalt not steal

thou shalt not commit adultry

( yes, adultry is against the law in most states, but it's never enforced.)

i do with Ono hadn't left. we were not always on the same page, but she was fun and i loved reading her posts.

i didn't think there was anypoint in asking her to stay, because she seemed pretty adamant in her decision, and because i felt that as her decision we should respect it. i'm sorry to see her go, and i hope she changes her mind later and returns after a break for a while.

and i can't say i'm surprised by the display of classless replies her departure engendered. there's not a lot of class in this forum anymore.

it was no surprise to me to see bill once again show us the perfect example of how to not be christlike.

if nothing else, bill is serving as a bad example.

So, its not illegal to kill people in say, Japan?  Or India?

Strike 1.

Hi everybody. I want to thank you all for the PM's. I just clicked on and I am overwhelmed by all of the wonderfil friendships I have made here.

I need to straighten a few things out though. First of all, I DID get a PM from Bill asking me to either stay on the forum or join his other website. I guess he doesn't understand that HE is one of the reasons I am leaving.

Semi, you are a sweet wonderful person and nothing you have ever said has ever offended me in the least! I saw in that other thread where you thought that was a possibility, and I need to tell you, I will ALWAYS be your friend.

And Buf, you are wrong about Blue. HE is a very good friend too. He has never treated me with anything but respect, and I like to think I have returned that respect. Blue is really cool people.

Pup, Nagel, Kraven, thanks for the kind words. I really like you too.

Where IS Invictus? I hope he wasn't affected by the storms. Even though I'll be gone, I hope you all will pass my good wishes on to him when he shows up again.

Now, if I may give one last parting piece of advice: Listen to GBrK. He is wise, he is kind, he has great understanding, and I believe the Lord is using him to do His work. Let me say it again: Listen to GBrK.

God bless all of you. Thanks.

Hi O No,

Thank you!   And, I do sincerely hope you come back on the Religion Forum.  I am not saying that I will not disagree with you on issues -- but, your views are welcome and do add to the Forum community.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

dunno. i don't live there, so they don't concern me. i do know it's not as big of a deal in most other places as it is here.

those same laws are in place in most civilized countries, christian and non.

fine then, let's just go with the adultry one. most other places think americans are weird for having such a hang up about mistresses and such. can you imagine france having laws making adultry unlawful? it's darn near a national sport.

there are laws against 'sodomy' in this state, as well as many others.

since the word comes form the king james bible, it's gonna be hard to deny that anti-sodomy laws are Judaea/Christian based.

granted, again sodomy laws are rarely enforced, and are slowing being weeded out.

then we have the blue laws.. the ones that prevent alcohol sales on sunday which in many places are still very enforced... they also prevent car sales and several other things that just don't make any sence. all because god appearently doesn't want people to buy either seagrams or a chevy on a sunday.

 /shrug.

We all have breaking points and wisdom is  knowing when to back away, for hopefully only a while.  I, for one, will miss O No's contributions to the forum and I'm sorry to hear that she has made this decision but I certainly respect it and understand it.  She will be missed and it's regretful that it comes to this but O No is certainly not the first nor will be the last that needs to take some time away.  I know there are times that I feel like leaving it alone for a while myself but unlike O No who gracefully said her goodbyes I just stay away until I feel refreshed enough to get back into the fray.

I hope that one day, or on times of her choosing, O No will be back and share her opinions with us again.  One section of Scripture that I have posted under many other topics I believe applies here as well, in the context of "true colors of a  Christian".  That section is begins in Galatians 5:22 and is known as the "Fruit's of the Spirit".  Believers have God's Holy Spirit dwelling (living) inside existing along and ministering to the believer's inner Spirit.   Not that all Christians exhibit these fruits or attributes but those who are living in God's will along with His Spirit will demonstrate them so that others will see them in their lives.

Galatians 5:22-26 (CEV)
22 God's Spirit makes us loving, happy, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful,
23 gentle, and self-controlled. There is no law against behaving in any of these ways.
24 And because we belong to Christ Jesus, we have killed our selfish feelings and desires.
25God's Spirit has given us life, and so we should follow the Spirit.
26 But don't be conceited or make others jealous by claiming to be better than they are.

The above, I fully believe, are marks of a Christian.  I likewise do not believe that anywhere are we, Christians, encouraged or commanded to be Judges of those who either do not believe or believe other than that which we accept as the Word of God.  If we accurately follow Christ example, given the recorded ways that He lived, then our interactions with those non-believers will be respectful and non-judgmental  allowing the Holy Spirit of God to do the Conviction of People regarding their shortcomings and sins.  There are times that the people of God are encouraged to Judge but that Judging is to Judge ourselves and our actions to see that they are within God's Will and according to God's Will and desires.  The Church, it's members, and leaders are to Judge those members of the Church to insure that there is continuity within the Church and that no one threatens the Church but in those cases there are laid out descriptions that must be used.  Accusations should be proven by at least two witnesses and the offender is to be confronted privately first taking two.  If the offender does not listen and confess his wrong ways then it is to be taken further and finally all the way up to the whole Church.   Those are the only given times that Christians are given to Judge others and themselves.
