With the Trump / North Korea summit being imminent I'm wondering if Trump is successful in achieving what hasn't been achievable since the 1950's will he, Trump, get the credit he deserves?   I know that there are plenty of people that dislike Trump and those people are both Republicans and Democrats.  I'm wondering though if people that don't like Trump will finally take time and give him credit for this potential achievement?

If these talks are successful then will the media and those who detest Trump also be in favor of a nomination of Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize?  True, Donald Trump does have an ego unmatched by many however much of what he has done since being elected and taking office has been doing exactly what he said he would do and restoring America to a feeling and sense of greatness that has been missing for a very long time now.

Trump is from a generation of Americans who never thought of America as being the source of problems in the world but rather the source of achievement and cure of problems in the world.  I believe Trump does want to be an achiever but as much for restoring an America that he knew all along than for having something to brag about.  I think Donald Trump saw a Nation that he didn't recognize, under Obama and the Democrats, from 2008 where Obama was apologizing to everyone he could for what he (Obama) felt was America's great evils and errors.  Trump was a man who I believe feels and believes that America has nothing to apologize for but that deserves to be rewarded and recognized for a great many achievements throughout history and for keeping the world safe and free from Communism and Dictators run amuck.

I also think Donald Trump saw a Nation whose prestige had diminished in the eyes of many foreign dignitaries and leaders who lost respect for a great nation and also who sought to take advantage of our leadership.  I could be wrong but to me what Trump is potentially able to achieve is unprecedented and if successful should be rewarded for it and credited for it.  Trouble is far too many detest Trump and their own anger and resentment will prevent them from giving any credit to the man.  Many, I believe, are wishing and hoping for failure or anything but success in anything that will appear or be perceived as positive with respect to Donald Trump.  For those people the next few days are going to be miserable ones I believe.
