!st off...to the person who asked about athletes.... are you serious???? That is an idiotic question. This team top to bottom is more athletic than the 2004 undefeated team. This is basically the exact same team that won 9 games last year.... Trust me, it has nothing to do with athleticism...this is a between the ears problem and a heart problem with these players. No leadership. The defense has suffered a ton of injuries also, and that definately doesn't help. Jerraud Powers shouldnt have been playing Thurs. nite but that's Auburn's thinnest position(CB-Savage out for the year in preseason, Thorpe w an ankle injury) When 3 of ANY team's top 4 corners are hurt, that's gonna be tough to overcome.
As for Tubbs....(SIGH) The lack of heart on this team worries me.... I wonder if he's lost them. With his track record for winning over the years and with pulling in very good talent every year it would take a proven winner at a high level to take his place. I just don't know if that guy is out there, or would take the job. I'm torn on this because I respect Tubbs bigtime for turning this program around after probation and Terry Bowden gutted it.... but sometimes the writing is on the wall... the writing is small now, but if the last 4 games go the way I fear depending on how the Tigers are playing now.... that writing will get huge.

Athletes! You guys are stacked at quarterback, huh? Where are you guys stacked at? The team that won 9 games last year, came close to losing half of those. I believe Tommy's luck has finally ran out. I haven't posted anything about Bama winning or that Bama is going to crush Auburn. However, it could have easily been Bama with a 9 or 10 win season last year, and Auburn with a handful more of loses. I just ask that you be honest, Auburn doesn't have a very good football team this year. That includes the so called athletes.

Notice Crimson that I have left this alone...............

I would say no. In my time in college, Shug Jordan (Auburn) faced the same issues when losing against Bear Bryant. I beleive the tradition of Auburn will necssitate the keeping of the Tubster. Does anyone remember Shug Jordan? I met him my Senior year in 1957 (don't call me old please) on the plains. Respectable man.

Notice Longarm that I have left all of these posts alone. I haven't hated on Auburn or bragged about Bama. There is no reason to attempt to make Auburn out to be better than what they really are though? Wouldn't you agree?

That's what you come with??? We don't have an experienced QB, you are correct... Jason Campbell STUNK as a freshman and sophomore, and was mediocre as a Junior....but do I need to help you recall his Senior year...or the fact that he is starting for an NFL team right now? didn't think so... So yes, our QB position is thin on EXPERIENCE not talent. And you say we could've lost a few more last year... yeah, and we couldve won a few more lat year... that's the SEC genius... Your mighty bammie has struggled with the likes of Tulane, Kentucky, Ole Miss, LSU, and Miss St. this year... which of those teams are currently ranked???? hmmmmm. none, nope, not one of em.... Ya'll have wins over how many currently ranked teams all year?????? hmmmm... 1... one?? just one??.... yep, Ya'll have beaten exactly ONE FREAKIN RANKED TEAM ALL YEAR!! hahaha... and you'd think ya'll had single handedly emptied the top ten by the way ya'll talk. The SEC sucks this year if you havent noticed... Florida is clickin now to be the only very good team, and I even say Bama is good, Georgia is pretty good... and that's it... the rest is mediocre to bad...

Now, talent wise, this Auburn team is fantastic. We are two deep at every postition except a couple spots on the O-line and in the secondary(I noted injury plague earlier). Tubb's either made a bad hire with Franklin, or wouldnt let him coach the way he needed to be successful... either way, couple that with a new QB and a team with only a handful of seniors, and you suffer setbacks. Auburn has improved, and if they improve a lil more, and play as hard as they did againts Georgia....then # 7 in a row may not be a fantasy.

Look, bammie has a solid team with a senior heavy O-Line and a senior QB.... just be happy ya'll are good and don't come talkin bout stuff you know nothing about.
and just one more point on the talent level at Auburn... Ben Tate, Mario Fannin, Gabe McKenzie, Ryan Pugh, Tyrone Green and (possibly Tristan Davis and Brad Lester and Rod Smith) will be in the NFL when their careers are done from the offense.
Defensively, SenDerrick Marks, Antonio Coleman, and Jerraud Powers will be 1st or 2nd round picks if they leave as juniors this year... Merril Johnson, chris Evans, and Tez Doolittle are the only seniors from the D, and they may all make NFL rosters. Throw in Nieko Thorpe, Aarion Savage, Zach Etherige, Josh Bynes, Tray Blackmon, Antoine Carter, Michale Goggans, Zach Clayton, and Mike McNiel...these are all possible All-SEC players for Auburn's future, and all have NFL potiential.

Your lack of talent arguement is laughable.
