The United States is adding a few new faces to its currency. Harriet Tubman will appear on the front of a new $20 bill to be unveiled in 2020, and a pair of civil rights scenes, one featuring suffragist leaders, will appear on the backs of redesigned $5 and $10 bills, the Treasury Department said on Wednesday.

The old faces will remain. Alexander Hamilton stays on the front of the $10 and Andrew Jackson moves to the back of the $20. But there will be women in American wallets for the first time in more than a century (when Martha Washington appeared) and African-Americans for the first time in the nation’s history.

I guess I'll just be carrying 5's and 10's when that happens.......

From the picture I saw it means the $20 will be a very ugly bill! Maybe they can find a better, more flattering picture to use.

Maybe they could use whoopi Goldberg instead..??

I didn't think so.........

Pre or post heroin addict? Both are rough.

I wonder if crusty-the tusk-mac, would mind if they used his

mug shot..?

The more I read about the old gal, the more I like her.  She had surgery to relieve pressure on the brain.  Rather than accept opium, she bit the bullet.  A Republican, she served as a nurse during the War of Northern Aggression.  Helped runaway slaves on the underground railway and carried a pistol and three foot sword at times. Rumored to have plugged a couple of Democrats.

Tubman's pistol and the ivory-handled sword that she kept with her to ensure her safety.

The picture I would like to see on the $20.

This would drive the wusses in the Democrat party crazy. Might even make the cover of The American Rifleman.

As I understand, an image of Tubman will be on one side of the $20 and Jackson's image on the other.  A bill with two faces.

Reminds me of the joke when a Mississippi State forester asked an Auburn forester "Which side is the front of the tree?"

They should design a Bill Clinton coin with Monica on the head and Gennifer on the backside.

I assume the Auburn forester said, which side faces Alabama.

The AU forester took the Miss St challenge and walked around the tree several times before declaring "This is the front!"

How so?

Because someone from Mississippi took a dump behind it.
