Robert Bork or Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Think about it? Had Biden and the other Democrats not gone after Robert Bork who obviously was imminently qualified to be a Supreme Court Nominee and Judge then his death in 2012 would have surely given Barak Obama a Supreme Court nominee to place on the court and surely would have been a liberal one.
Additionally, if Ruth Bader Ginsburg had of chosen to retire, as Judge Kennedy has done then that would have given Obama two Supreme Court picks that surely would have passed and surely would have been far more liberal than what the Court will look like when Trump is finished. Now Ruth Bader Ginsburg and so many liberals are having to wish beyond wishing that she will live on through Trump's first term and pray (if they believe in prayer) that Trump will not achieve a second term (2020-2024) which would end when Ruth Bader Ginsburg would be 91 years old or there a bouts.
Now anything could happen and she's not in bad health as far as we know but anything could happen. and the Liberal nightmare scenario would be for Trump to have yet another pick, in addition to the two he already has, and especially because he would be replacing a sure liberal vote.
Democrats only have themselves to thank, actually, because they Borked Bork who died in 2012, Obama's first year of his second term, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg could have chosen to retire at a time that would ensure Obama had a liberal pick to slide into the court to keep that seat liberal for an additional 20 to 30 years. Now everything is up in the air and Liberals as in an outright panic over possibilities that may play out. As unhinged as many of them are though I'd not put anything past them and there is no telling what they might do.
On one hand, they would love to see a Conservative Judge vacancy but on the other, they sure don't want Trump to have the replacement say and as long as Trump wins that's what will happen. Some might call it Karma others just proof of their short-sightedness but either way, to many Conservatives, it is comical. Just like when the Democrats (Harry Reid) removed the filibuster rule for appointed Judges and Reid did it to make way for Obama to pick court of Appeals Judges. Little did Hary Reid, or the Democrats realize that they set precedent for future Presidential picks and picks affecting the Supreme Court.
The Nuclear Option ... nuked the Democrats .. shot in their own foot by their own actions/hands.
