Only behind by 3 at the half. This is the first time I have seen them this year. Not impressed. Some of the worst fundamentally played football I have seen. And it goes back to coaching. The clock management right before the half was atrocious.
I see the D1 transfers (25)? hurting recruiting as the Leprechaun uses UNA as a stepping stone back to D1 coaching. Flame me all you want all you Terry Bowden lovers.... I just dont see anything good coming from this guy.

OB, surely you know that watching box scores doesn't really tell one how the team plays. My point was that I have watched UNA and they are strong as they have been all season (with some sloppiness that plagues all teams). I agree that Delta State is giving them all that they want tonight but they rally like the National Champioinship team that they were before Bowden. Again, that was my point, they are a great team win or lose...and they seldom lose...
OB, I resepectfully disagree. UNA and Delta are a lot like Alabama and Auburn -- you can't judge how the game will go down based on anything prior to them taking the field. It has been an exciting game to watch with some great plays and a close match up. It may not be UNA's best game of the season, but it has been exciting all the same...And right now they are up by 10 with less than 4 minutes left in the game...

Yeah i understand what youre saying..... i remember the Troy-UNA, Jax Xt- UNA games... and Delta St is right there with those........ I'm happy the Lions are winning... its the way and why they are is what i'm not impressed about. I'm not explaining myself too well, but i was hoping someone would read between the lines.... Congrats Lions on a tough win, and beating the zebras and the dang announcers....

I think I know what you mean OB, but it made for great entertainment...they can't play like they did tonight and stay undefeated though...they do have some improving to do...I like football -- I really don't care who's playing -- I like to watch it...it's one of the few sports that I could watch regardless and get excited and into the game...

Didn't hear about the fight --- I'll have to check with a friend of mine and get some scoop on that one...wouldn't shock me though...Big Grin

congrats Lions on the Win!!!!
I will say this. Bowden is good. He may not be worth all the hype though. Hudspeth, with all his issues, put together and had built a very strong work ethic and a great team at UNA. Bowden may do big things in the future, but he is reaping what Hud sowed and you have to give that credit where it is due. I think it is great to see all teh Purple and Gold...while I have my issues with UNA as far as education goes -- the football excitement is wonderful! I wish Bowden the best and I hope he does well at UNA...I'm sure this is a stepping stone, but then again...he may be like a certain other coach that had great records and accolades at UNA but has not seen that same success elsewhere...
Dang Dixie,..... a woman that loves football... you are every guys dream.... I like it when women love football...... and i agree with everything you said... except the Bowden remark. I wish them the best too..... its just well,.. things... I'll call them intangibles for now. With all of that said... To Jackofalltrades...... this is how two posters debate, if you will. Without hateful, spiteful, meaningless type. While we didnt see exactly eye to eye, we didnt trash the other.... its called respect. Thanks Dixie and Two... while we might not totally have agreed, it was civil. Most important thing, Lions won..... oh and Roll Tide Saturday.

LOL no but the box scores do tell alot. I guess what i was referring to was how they played.... and you have to remember... with all of the D1 players it isnt the same team. Matter of fact, something that hasnt been published is there was a fight between two Lions in the locker room,... both players were from rival ACC schools.

Are you handicapped. We have an area for you at Braly if you would like to come and quit watching from the closet.

Bowden is reaping very little from what Hud sowed. With the exception of our linebacking corps, this is pretty much a new team that has only been together for a little over a month and a half. If you had seen them play in the first game against Southern Ark, you'd realize that we have come light years since that game. With each game our players are getting more aware of each other making for better chemistry. That first game, our Oline didn't block anybody all night but they've kept working and now the Oline is beginning to gel. My only regret is we won't get to see Beck and the Three Amigos with a year under their belts together. Now THAT would have been fun to watch.

They would probably ask me to leave,.... I like to stand a lot. Even watching at home, i sometimes stand if it gets tense.

Well then come on down. We've got a great group who've pretty much adopted the 50 yard line section of the East Stands. Best seats in the house in my opinion and there's plenty of jumping up and down and cheering, just like it should be at a college football game.

penalties are usually one of the signs of an undisciplined football team.......a case in point: under coach nick saban, 'bama has been one of the least penalized teams in the nation. under the previous coach , they were one of the most penalized........coincidence? N-0 NO!

It didn't happen right off the bat for Saban though.
