Apparently, I have been hiding under a rock lately and have missed lots of stuff ... Does anyone know why the chief resigned? I know I missed the officer in the altercation but how did I miss the news about the chief? It would seem that would be something the public would need to know -- especially those that have kids attending UNA and that live around it. It may not be a sordid tale, but resignations are usually not because you are happy with your job...can anyone fill me in?

My first impression was all I had to go on really because I never gave him a chance to make a second. As I've learned, my impression of someone doesn't make the good or bad at their job, but it is entertaining when I want to scream "told you so"... I do feel this was a good move on UNA's part because he wasn't a team player from what I knew with the other departments in the area and that tends to cause problems for the officers -- the officers were helpful when they were allowed to be and many times even if it was going to get them in trouble -- if it wasn't for the comradery of some of the officers themselves that could have put them at risk...And when you have a bad leader -- that tends to be a bad example to his subordinates, as well as, to those he "protected". I'm not much on a "do what I say not what I do" leader...

I agree sb07, it did seem he'd rather be the playboy than the chief -- he loved the badge bunnies...
