I watched it, unfortunately.

The very first thing I saw was the late Howard Zinn, a revisionist historian who believed it was okay to mix personal bias with history. It was part of a pitch to solicit donations to the website.

The video and website immediately lost all credibility. Maybe that's why they need to beg for donations to operate.

Then the video includes a report from Toufic Haddad. A pro-Palestinian writer who has made his hatred for Israel and the US very clear.

An example of his work, notice that it comes from the International Socialist Review.

So with the Palestinian view represented, for true balanced reporting as taught in any basic college journalism class, the Israeli view of the same event should also be offered. Right?

Nope. Nothing from the Israeli side of the story. If you watch the video, you'll only get the Palestinian side of the story. Where is the other side? How can the viewer or reader be fully informed on the event if only one version is presented?

It's nothing more than propaganda. I had to do a little digging to try and find the story as covered by legitimate journalists, there wasn't much to choose from.

I did however find this.

It's from February 28. Aspects of the story are identical, such as protesters barricading themselves in the Al-Aqsa Mosque. This means that "The Real News" has their date wrong by saying their video was shot earlier this week.

"Several dozen Muslim men barricaded themselves inside the al-Aksa Mosque of the Temple Mount compound late Saturday and began throwing rocks Sunday at police and visitors to the site"

So the reality is that there was a small protest back in late February where some Palestinians started throwing rocks and sticks at cops, then locked themselves in a mosque. Protesters got hurt and so did some cops. It was such a small scale deal that the AP and other news sources didn't feel the need to worry about it since that crap happens all the time over there.

So much for the "Real News".

A terrible hatchet job for a post if ever I saw one.

There's only one side shown in corporate media also. The Corporate side. It is not the "Legitimate" press.

Israel is stealing land and the Palestinians are protesting.

This is the Palestinian side that is not shown in the Corporate Media.

It' ethnic cleansing.

It's not a hatchet job, the article fell apart on it's own.

So here is a question for you.

In the video you posted, how much time is given to explain the Israeli side of the events?

I can answer that for him without even watching it. Since it's a pogo post, I'll say zero. Am I right?

I won't spoil the surprise for you, I'm waiting for him to answer.

Of course, he won't answer directly. He'll say something about corporate media being controlled by Zionists or how only the "progressive" side gets it right, but he won't come right out and answer the question.

To do that would cause him to think independently, and that would wreck his whole world view.
