And I always try to look at things in the positive way, but do you realize that most of us on here are 35 years and older, that means that we have probably less than 60 or less years to live. Then again let me turn this back into a more positive way of thinking, if most of us are going to Heaven, then maybe that is a good thing, see ya.

momster? why would you not expect to see 30? If that is too personal, I apologize. blueman, you act as though you may be on your last leg! good heavens get a grip, you are one of my favorite posters (I watch you all)and you must have much more life left in you than you think. I always tell my best friend (and her mother) you are only as old as you THINK you are.

its not a big deal, but I was always an adrenaline junkie. I was always doing incredibly stupid stuff, and no one figured I'd reach my 30th birthday. when I did hit 30, my mother actually cried. I probably took a few years off her life, and I regret that.

Little , just relax. Bluesman has his days. He comes and goes. He has lost several good and great friends here lately in the last few months. He will be ok.
I have to say, Hound Dog, that is one of the down sides of getting older...losing people close to you. It's especially hard if you are not sure you will see them in Heaven.

Bluesman, count your blessings (several times) - go sit by the water (no, not in the bathtub, dude - river or stream Wink) - watch or go see a movie that is so funny you nearly hurt yourself laughing.

I got news good news for you, Blues. As the song says "When I leave I wanna go out like Elijah, with a whirlwind to fuel my chariot of fire. And when I look back on the stars, it'll be like a candlelight in Central Park. And it won't break my heart to say good-bye." When I get to Heaven, I am going to tackle God in a bear hug and He's going to look around at others there & explain "this is my daughter from Alabama" & they'll all say "oh, okay". HAHA
Two things I used to refuse to do was weddings and funerals. I can't say that anymore.
Like monster, I never thought I would live past my twenty's. Now at 45, I want to live a long time, the problem is all these things I have done to destroy my health. Now something comes to mind, if I had no intention of growing old, it may play into fact why I have settled for what this area has to offer instead of doing better for myself?
I am clearly past the halfway point in life, I just can't see me living to be ninety years old.

Yep, how about our troops who fight this war each day with nothing to look forward to but another day of fighting.

What is real sad is growing old by yourself! All your friends have pass on and no one to talk to. Where do all the lonely people go as the song says. letting life pass you by.

My Dads cousin got cancer. Her Dr told her she would die if she didn't take Kemo, so she agreed, but her Dr. died before she had her first treatment, and she just didn't go to another oncologist. She had her doubts about the treatment anyway, but he was right she died 40 years later, in her sleep. She had been raking leaves all day, and died that hight.
Tomorrow is promised to no one. When your number is up, your number is up. God's will WILL be done. Worrying about it is not going to add a minute to your life. In fact, worrying about it will probably shorten your life. Cherish each moment you have with your family and friends, realizing that either you or them may not be here (in the physical sense that we are living today) tomorrow. But the Spirit never dies. It only changes form.

That is so true, Peace Brother. Just look at the recent tragic deaths in the paper and on the news....a man killing his baby, a husband killing himself and his wife, a man killing himself and his children, a teen being stabbed ot death. The list goes on and on. One never knows, at any age, what tomorrow will bring (that is "if" there is a tomorrow)

There is a lady in a small house on US 72 near Center Star who can tell you all those things, and more. For a small fee.

....and Jenny Stringer has been in Spring Valley for a long time. She's very good.

MS.Stringer is very good and I'm a very sceptical person.Went with a friend of mine, all the while telling her she was crazy to believe in stuff like that, well,I changed my mind very quickly.Ms.Stringer told my friend things about herself that no one would have known, and about things that were going to happen to her that did.

Oh . . . my . . . gosh. Are you folks REALLY falling for theses "spiritual advisers"? Can anyone REALLY be that dumb?

This is the 21st century, folks. The mysterious lights revolving around the earth are STARS just like our sun. Their position in the sky has absolutely no effect on our lives,

The placement of cardboard cards on a table ARE NOT a good predictor of future events and no one can see anything in a glass ball except a distorted vision of the "client" who is stupid enough to part with their money for this kind of rubbish!
