The atomic clock is also avaliable by phone at 303-499-7111. Of course it gives "coordinated universal time" which is 6 hours different from here in Ala.

My pleasure, it seemed like a peaceful use for nuclear power. And, it synchronizes the clock on the computer. That may not be necessary for all applications, but some of what I do with the PC requires it to be on the correct time.

Yes , and if memory serves me right on 15000Mhz and 20000Mhz. the time is given on the minute every minute. There are 2 stations broadcasting on the same freq. One in Hiwaii and one in Co. If you hear a womans voice, it is Hiwaii. You can often hear both 1st the woman , then the man. If so, you are picking up both stations. They are syncronized so that they don't interferr with each other. Amazing. They also broadcast tones and clicks during the 1st 30 seconds that are perfect frequencies to calibrate from.

YOU are totally correct, and I found a free one today, it does not have the talking feature, and it will reset your computer clock each day, or more often according to how you set it up.

WWV in Boulder Colorado transmits on 2.5,5 ,10,15,and 20 Megahertz which can be found with most any Shortwave Receiver.
