Your bible states numerous times that I do not deserve to live & that I will burn in hell for all eternity. I say "omg". And you say that "I" am the one that is being disrespectful.

Does that honestly make sense to you?

Hi Holden,

To clear the air and to more widely share our dialogue on your very important question -- I have begun a new discussion. Take a look at "Who Is To Blame - God Or You?"

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Thank you for taking a stand for God. As I said earlier, several years ago I posted a similar message on the TimesDaily Forum because a few members were getting to the point that they could not write five words without taking God's name in vain. And, just as has happened now -- that handful who have trouble spelling "respect" felt it their duty to be even more disrespectful to God.

So, this time, when I posted, on the TimesDaily Religion Forum, what I had written for my Facebook Friends -- I was fully expecting to see our current crop of "language challenged" Friends do the same. And, as usual, I was not disappointed. Like the old saying, "Water will always find its own level" -- there are always those who cannot stay out of the muddy water.

Once again, thank you for standing for God.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Hi my "Fishy" old Friend,

You really should take the time NOW to get to know Him.

For, you WILL stand before Him one day to explain your denials of today -- and your degradations of His name.

Consider the old English Proverb, "A stitch in time saves nine saying."

Relating to that, "A prayer in time -- can save your eternal butt!"

Just a thought.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Gray,

A god more petty than I is not much of a god at all. I'll pass.

I suggest that you stop focusing on how others should think and act and instead begin to self-reflect and find positive and effective ways to address your pervasive unhappiness. What you have been doing up to now is not working. You are the seething antithesis of a man at peace. Your way does not inspire confidence.

Just a thought.

My dear FISHy Friend,

No one, most certainly God, is more petty than you. "There is none more spiritually blind -- than he who WILL NOT see."

And, my Friend, there is none more "spiritually blind" than you.

Even several years ago, when you promised to read Lee Strobel's book if I would read one written by your atheist guru -- I agreed to the challenge. But, you could never bring yourself to read that book -- which had already been given to you.

How blind is this -- when one cannot bring himself to pick up a book and read it -- because it talks about faith in God?

That, my Fishy Friend, is spiritual blindness -- to the Nth degree.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

p.s. Several years ago I wasn't even reading the Times Daily, much less having TD forum chats with you or anyone. Perhaps if you would address your bitterness and unhappiness, your paranoia will also clear up.

REALLY?! AWSOME... What i say is - Bill, go away and never post on the times daily forums again, under any name. just a total shame that we all know that once again, bill will not keep his word this time either.

Hi Nagel,

As usual, you leave us confused. What promise am I breaking to you by posting on the Religion Forum?

So, you want to be the Sheriff of Forumland and tell folks like me, Christian, that we can no longer post on YOUR Religionless Forum?

Sorry, Sheriff Nagel, no can do!

But, one thing you can count on. I have been on the Forum for over three years -- and have ALWAYS posted as Bill Gray, my real name.

How many posting names have you used in the last few years? Many, many, many!

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

i find you irksome.

i read the first two paragraphs of this to my wife.

she said ' excuse me? i'm supposed to be embarassed of you because you say OMG? tell whoever that is i said he needs to go Fword himself and mind his own business. if he wants to be embarassed of his wife and kids he's welcome to, but he better not try to tell me how *I* should feel. Arrogant worm.'

That is just hilarious.

Thanks, Trutooit, for bumping this. I didnt realize he had an entire thread already dedicated to people telling him where to go. So, he already shared this tidbit of opinion, and was told by others what they thought of it, yet he came back and reposted it AGAIN with a demand that intelligent people not use OMG.

Sounds very disrespectful and offensive to me. He didnt take the hint from the original thread. I doubt he will ever get it. But we should be used to that by now.....

thenagel, perhaps if Bill had used the word embarrassed instead of represent you might have gotten his meaning. I know there have been times that my children or my husband have done something in public that has embarrassed me and I did consider it a reflection on me. (As well I am sure that if you asked my children or my husband they would say the same about me.) Surely you have heard someone use the term, "I raised them better than that."

I do cringe at the use of either the OMG or the F word. For me the OMG is the same as cursing and using the Lord's name in vain. The F word is just plain vulgar and shows a lack of vocabulary on the part of the one using it.

I would never presume to reason what God thinks about the use of these and other expletives. For me it is wrong and poor reflection on my Lord. I will wait until I get to heaven to hear what He has to say about it.

vp, I went back and reread Bill's post and did not see where he claimed that the F word was taking the Lord's name in vain.

Those of you who felt the need to post the OMGs, do you feel better now that you tried intentionally to be offensive to someone?

i find you irksome.

when i was in the 7th grade, i was reading on a college sophomore level. when i was in the 10th grade i was literally off the charts. the test they gave me wasn't designed to accurately show what i was capable of, because no one had ever scored that high before. (i'm not saying i'm a super genius. i'm SO not. however, since about the 5th grade or so, i've had my nose in a book every waking minute. i'm not super smart, but i do have a massivly (sic) huge vocabulary and insane reading comprehension skills. at the same time, i couldn't math my way out of a paper sack, and my typing skills would make a literary editor jam toothpicks in their eyes to end the pain.)

Hi Nagel,

What happened between your 7th grade, 10th grade, and college sophomore days -- and now? Your writing certainly does not reflect that "off the chart" quality today.

And, your response to Shoals Resident most certainly leaves a lot to desire also. Have you ever heard of the the word "civil" -- as in civil discussions? Just a thought.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

The mythical being you call "God," if real, would be the most pathetic being ever known.

I mean really....why would a supreme being give a crap if a lowly human said "Oh my god." Seems like such a master of the universe would have better things to think/care about.

I thought Buck Rogers was the master of the universe.
