Your objection is getting weaker and lamer with every post. Now you're merely repeating your previous assertions..and you don't even believe your own statements anymore. Wink

Thanks for making my point. Wink

BWAHAHAHA!!! Big Grin

Your mental silliness is in full bloom this morning Cool

Now, go take your medications before the guys with the white jackets come a visitin'...they might use a taser on you Big Grin
right! if you believe that I have some river front property to sell.. you can make me a partial payment right away via western union.. use the password "sucker"
if there wasn't a clear and obvious case of physical abuse here this guy would be in jail waiting for a bond hearing and then going to court to pay fines and courts costs... I think he should go ahead and sue anyhow.. these guys have to get the message this kind of crap don't stand and the best way to get the message across is taking their money.. that's what they do to us for anything they can scheme up to steal our money.. take them to the bank

Second verse...same as the first Big Grin
No police in the shoals??? what is that. Where are you getting your info? Things on this forum usually don't upset me but "Truth" you are so far out in left field it isn't even funny. If all these things bother you so bad, why don't you call Chief Singleton and set up an appointment and voice your concerns for all these mistreated citizen's that you feel you need to defend because from the sounds of it you are the one that will save them. Or are you one that likes to remain anonymous? Behind your computer screen and ramble about things you have no clue about? Like the saying goes. "Don't complain about who won the election if you didn't vote". SO don't complain unless you try to solve the problem. I am a citizen here and I am happy with FPD so you won't be speaking for me.
can't have cops without a budget.. people are taxed and ripped off by government at every level to the point of their backs being against the wall.. first things to go will be cops, firemen teachers... and now.. bus drivers
I don't approve of the taxes I pay being used to support this kind of activity.. while you defend these out of control germs just bear in mind that you could be the next victim of one of these creeps because they are having a bad day, or they had to pay for their own donut or they didn't get that 15 cent raise.. maybe your kids will be next because Mr.Bigshot thinks your kid has a bad attitude.. once these kinds of people are allowed to get away with this kind of thing once it emboldens them to do it again.. maybe next time it will be your dad

Numerous cities in Alabama operate without a budget. They still have cops.

What chapter of "The Catcher in the Rye" are you on now?

If my kids or dad shows up at a public place and gets butt azz naked they need to be treated in this manner...maybe it will clear the cob webs out of their heads so they can think clearly and learn how to act in public.
My mom worked at riverbend mental health center
she worked with some sick little "puppies" some were from Tyler Harding for the crimanaly insane
she wasn't even allowed pepper spray. The family by law are not allowed to have him court
commited until he becomes a danger to himself or
others. So I guess in his mind he was too hot
so he took off his hot clothes and went inside for the air cnditioning and a cold beer. Like a child of two or three when you become too hot
get rid of the clothes lol. Thank God the police were aware of this man' mental problem because if that hadn't known that he might have been shot and killed like the son of a local physician was a few years ago as shot in the back by a county sheriff deputy. That does not need to happen

If you want to stop police abuse of tasers make it a law that every time they use one on somebody they have to get tased them self. It's only suppose to be an alternative to using a gun, not an officers personal toy to use on the general public.

Hollow you're new to the forums but sound so familiar. UNA frequently assists FPD when its so close to campus. OTR is only 4 blocks away. Your taser remark may be the most ridiculous statement I have heard in quite some time. It is a "less than lethal" weapon not an alternative to a firearm. The taser prevents injuries on both sides of the altercation. I hate you are so fooled by a negative experience and bad television.

I guess, by his thinking, when they use mace they should be maced in the face afterwards as well, huh? Or should be shot after discharging their weapons. Roll Eyes

What some people dont think about is LEOs do get 'tazed' as part of their training to use the taser. They know how it feels.....

I think about it. I've been there and done that. Its not as terrible as you may think. It hurts but when its over its over. The drive stun is even less effective than probe contact.

Yep, usually the folks yelling the loudest about LEOs using the taser dont even know that they have been tasered themselves.

What they also dont think about is its not just the matter of not using deadly force, its a matter of protecting the officer from injury. For an officer to have to fight with a suspect to restrain them puts the officer and the suspect at risk of injury. If the officer is hurt, thats one more officer off the job and higher insurance for the department. All these folks have to do to keep from being tasered is COOPERATE. Its not like they are not given warning in almost every situation.

Who can ever forget their first chemical and electronic weapons “inoculations?” As part of the certification, trainers were always saying you’ve got to know how it feels so your can testify to it. With that logic, thank God they didn’t shoot us.
So I guess this forum is just full of LEO's? The comment I made about the taser was just one way to stop abuse of the weapon without getting rid of them, which is exactly what I think needs to happen.

Below is the short list of people that have been killed by "non-lethal" tasers that police seem to use for just about everything these days. It's only 498 people but who's counting?

My source, CBC NEWS. Maybe you should take your own advice and "learn before you speak".

Well hollow, your death list is 498 persons long. I wonder how long it would have been had tasers not been available and the police just had to shoot all the folks who have been tased?

Over 90% of those people were unarmed. The report didn't say how many actually pulled a weapon though.

People that pull weapons usually don't get tasered. Never take a taser to a gunfight.

Was you trying to say something pertaining to the subject?

Use were instead of was. If you have any contact with the police just obey their instructions until the confusion is cleared up. Resisting is what gets you tased. The cop has no way of knowing what is taking place or the subjects state of mind. If I were a cop I would err on the side of caution and you would already have been tased by me. Big Grin

Hollow, you’ve got a small credibility issue here. I looked for your source and found your list here instead:
http://truthnottasers.blogspot...mes-where-known.html

Of particular note are the results of the autopsies. How odd the number of causes of death attributed to either cardiac or cocaine which the blogger, predictably, rejects. Regarding the last death listed, according to press releases, the autopsy results aren’t in yet!!!

If you care to re-read it - as I suggested you do in the Police Harassment thread - you’ll see where your personal issues with LEOs are very transparent. If you’ll just step forward and admit you hate cops, you’ll have far more credibility than WH.
So your saying an entire news organization has been discredited because a questionable blog picked up one of there stories? Really? And don't you dare say I hate cops, if you think that you are sadly mistaken. Just because someone disagrees with a weapon or tactic some police use don't mean that person dislikes, hates or any thing else you can come up with is true. Why is it whenever anyone questions anything about Law Enforcement they are automatically a hater? A good citizen should question every aspect of government, including Law Enforcement when they see a video of an old man tasered in the street.

Have a wonderful evening!

What does your credible news source say about the autopsy results?

The 49 year old Shoals man didn’t die did he? So what’s the point of your death list?

What was that you said???

Really?

And why didn’t you offer an explanation in the Police Harassment thread? You feel one person with an ax to grind with LEOs represents the public at large? Or is that you?

How dare I? Hey, if it walks like a duck...
actually, there is a Federal certification that is required by law to be able to use a taser on someone.. I doubt if the cops around the Shoals even know this.. everytime they use a Taser they set up the cities and counties for big fat lawsuits.. the best part of a lawsuit are the punitive damages.. and this would be a clear case where punitive damages are in order.. Tasing without the required federal license
