Even though it's obvious that a customer in the store did it because he thought it was funny, there will be a price to pay. I'm sure jessie and al are headed for NJ at this very moment. Can you say lawsuit?

It's not that hard to hijack a store's PA system. I've heard it happen a few times in stores I've worked in but it was never anything rude.

I remember reading back in the early 80's about being able to do it remotely by phone by somehow dialing into the stores pbx /pa system. I'm sure the technologies have changed a lot though through the years.

No doubt. Just ask Cracker Barrel, Denny's and all the corporations who've been blackmailed over the years.
People are just looking for something to get ticked off about even when it's NOT something to get ticked off about. Back in 1999, David Howard, a white mayoral aide in Washington, D.C., used the word "rhymes with piggardly" in conversation with a black official, who took offense because he felt that "rhymes with piggardly," which means miserly or cheap, was a racist term. Howard had to resign.

On a humorous note, it ends up that Howard was a homosexual and a gay rights group pressured the mayor to rehire him which he did.

Actually, after thinking about this, Wal-Mart management should just tell them "sh..t happens". Get over it or just don't come back. Case closed
