Friday, on network television news, they reported Wal Mart is beginning to significantly bump their "bargain prices" up, and they are predicting this as a growing trend. Now, even though Obamacare is still nearly four years away, paying for it is at hand...I'm thinking those of us who would never have their taxes raised by Obama just got a Obama inspired tax increase 'cause Wal Mart and other retailers are just going to pass along the cost of Federally mandated insurance coverage.

American by birth, Southern by the grace of God.

The increase in prices of the Value products have been worked on for a long time. They have increased the amount of Value and reduced the Brand names for a while. This gets you used to using the Value. Now the Value is increasing in price and the name brands will still be more expensive, but now you are in the habit of using the Value products and will continue to use them at the higher prices. It is just pure retail tactics. Wally World is moving on profit.
Three more things I can't find at WalMart now, just since last month. 1) Fresh Step clay cat litter 2) Folgers French Roast coffee 3) Cottonelle Ultra tp

Dear Walmart,
If I have to keep adding things from my WalMart list to my list for the other store, soon it won't be neccessary to come to you at all. Saving a few pennies isn't worth the aggravation.
With WalMart vs the world, I prefer the world. I do not shop there. I can purchase the things I need at local mom and pop stores. Do I pay a bit more? Sometimes. I weigh in my time parking, getting in and out of the store and gas spent getting there. So it equals out really. I actually know of a woman the lives in Lexington that sent her husband to WalMart for a head of cabbage, because it was on sale. That made no sense to me.

--stash an empty WM bag in your pocket, buy the cabbage at Big Star, go grab a cup of coffee, put cabbage in WM bag, go home and hand it to the wife.--
