I know for a fact that the Walmart in Muscle Shoals and Florence are making their outside associates, mainly garden center employees and cartpushers, sign legal waivers basically saying they are not allowed to sue walmart if they suffer a heat related illness.

What do you loyal wally world shoppers say about that? Is it legal?

You didn't have to sign it.  You could have quit and gone somewhere else to look for work.  Also, why should you be able to sue someone for a heat-related illness if you know what the job requirements are when you are hired.  If you work in Alabama outside in the summer you should be aware that it's pretty darn hot.  It would be different if they had you pushing shopping carts in a winter coat and didn't let you consume any liquids in a shift.  I haven't seen any of that going on.

Boogieman, why are you trying to mislead these people?  If you're not happy with your job, simply quit.  There is no such waiver and you know it.  If I'm wrong, prove me wrong.  Get a copy and post it.  Chances are you were asked to sign an acknowledgement that you were advised of the symptoms of heat exhaustion/heat stroke/heat related illnesses and how to better be prepared when working in the current weather conditions.
