Link to article .. read first paragraph about Walmart

How does everyone like Walmart's newest ad campaign showing this guy who goes around dropping prices. Walmart made a big deal about this. Guess they will leave out about the many others that are going behind him raising prices. Guess we won't hear about that guy or those folks at WalMart.

Be as the Bereans ( Acts 17:11 )

Well, of course it looks good when they have something priced at 15.00 then they drop the price to 14.99. I have always loved that. Looking at the sales price and then the original being 1-5 cents more. Always found that a bit funny.

Not to change the subject, but did you read about half way down about the Krispy Kreme Cheeseburger???
This has to be good for your heart...

Sweet Meat: For those not keen on watching their waistlines, the Wisconsin State Fair has just the treat (err, meal?) for you: the Krispy Kreme Cheeseburger. As WalletPop's Sarah Coffey reports, the 1,000-calorie burger features a beef patty with melted cheese between two Krispy Kreme (KKD) doughnuts -- all for a mere $5. No word yet whether sales have been brisk enough for the North Carolina-based company to consider making the item a permanent menu item.

Just a knockoff of the Luther Burger from the Boondocks (The Itis episode). It was something along the line of a pound of beef, 8 slices of bacon, 4 slices of cheese between two Krispy Kreme doughnts
Walmart operated on the principle that they were the biggest and therefore the most dominant. If they picked your product you were big time, and if they decided to drop you then you might as well close the doors. Companies trying to meet their demands are probably a good reason why several companies started outsourcing to keep a profit, or sold things they knew wouldn't work. I recall a article a couple of years ago talking about how Vlassic sold a pickle jar that did more harm than good to their sales just simply because of pressure from Walmart.

Anyways, their the days of total influence are numbered. Target's becoming just as competitive in price, while sometimes offering a superior product or better service (which is why walmarts are remodeling, to look like Target) Best Buy is also capable of fighting with price along with Amazon and the rest of the internet. Selling in Walmart is still important but they can easily sell to someone else and survive.

I pointed out months ago that the price differences between Walmart and Target were slight, and how I felt Target offered a better shopping experience and it looks like others have figured it out.

Well you are really, really, misinformed. If an item is on sale from $15, then it will be 14.96, not 14.99. That is saving tons of money, just think....it is almost a nickel, not just a penny!
LOL LOL LOL

You got that right!!! Some things I buy had gone up in price by 50 cents or more. The things they had dropped the prices on were what I'd call useless or junk. (Such as plastic waterbottles). Nice little scam by Wally World. Now I'm making an effort to shop elsewhere.

Sad but true. I always buy American whenever can. You would be surprised at the people who never even think along those lines.

To a certain extent you can't trust this anymore either. Some companies get a large majority of the product made out of the country save for some minor assembly or minor part. They then have that last step take place in the USA so they can stamp "made in USA" on it.

It's not just Walmart. Go to Lowes, Home Depot, Target, or just about any other store and try to find American products. Sears/Craftsman tools that used to be US made with a lifetime warranty are now Chinese-made. I don't know about the warranty but they aren't American anymore. Clothes? Some are made in countries I never heard of. We've simply become a nation of "I want it cheap no matter where it comes from."
