Yeah tigrtrek, Unfortunately that's been Auburn's MO this year. Except for the last Tenn drive of the first half, and the 4th quarter(granted the game was in hand), the defense played lock down ball.
I was disappointed in the offense not punching in for TDs instead of settling for 5 fg attempts(dang Onterio dropped a perfect pass from Kodi in the end-zone).
But what I see in both of those flaws is this... We dominated Tenn on ol Rocky Top while playing far from a perfect game on either side of the ball. To be 5-0 with a legit top 5 offense in the country while still having plenty of coaching points to improve on.... That has the makings of a special season. If we take care of business the next two weeks, that LSU game will be HUGE.... as it usually is, and as it should be.
This is 5 games in to a season with a completely new coaching staff and depth issues, yet already look like a very good team. Only 6 seniors(3 on O, 3 on D) start for this team. My friend, the future looks very bright for the Tigers. We have to make sure we keep Malzahn from getting lured away by a head coaching gig. That's number one for the offseason, #2 is recruiting. If both of those go positivly, next year will be a great chance at a championship run for sure.
WAR EAGLE!!!

Impressive win?

Auburn has only beaten ONE team with a winning record.

kudos to your team , peter....i thought the tigers pretty much dominated poor ol' rocky top , even though they seemed to take their foot off the gas pedal in the 4th quarter......still, a solid performance and a good smack in the face to Lame Kitten.
