I find it quite interesting that this quotation, with its widespread use, originally appeared in Insight Magazine. And, that the author of the words, J Michael Waller is an often quoted "authority" in the debate about the Iraq War.

There is an ongoing, and insidious attempt to change the American Character from peace loving and generous to warlike and miserly.

Overcoming the fear created by the 9/11 attacks, and moving forward, to quote Lincoln "With malice toward none; with charity for all; with firmness in the right, as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in; to bind up the nation's wounds; to care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan--to do all which may achieve and cherish a just, and a lasting peace, among ourselves, and with all nations."

I would Like to commend to all this church service, delivered in Michigan, May 27, 2001. I point out the date because it IS IN ADVANCE OF 9/11/2001
