Watch out Alabama Fans when Nick Saban says he has no intention of going to Michigan...his stuff is already there...but we already knew he was a liar and a low life...according to the words of Don Shula
"Except for ending Slavery, Fascism, Nazism, and Communism; war has never solved anything!"

LOL,..... almost made me spit beer.
1. The Michigan job isnt open.... they have a coach. For now anyway.
2. His "stuff" is in Tuscaloosa.
3. Theres a term called "coach speak" Tubby used it while at Ole Sis. He wasnt leaving there. Remember?
4. Provide the link were Coach Don said that. He may have but in any case he was taking up for his son.
The best I remember, Saban was up front with LSU about the fact that he was "talking" with Miami. The LIARS were coaches such as Tuberville who said one day he wasn't leaving then left the next day. I think Coach Fran did the same though I don't keep up with Alabama football as much as I do Ole Miss and LSU. I just know that I kept up with it well when Tubby out right LIED to Ole Miss.
Everyone realizes that coaching is a profession, right? I mean if you are negotiating to change jobs you usually don't share this with your current employer. Even if Saban decides to leave, that's his choice, just as it was Tuberville's choice to leave Ole Miss. Can't blame him, I would have left MS too...and did at one time.

HAHAHAHAHA!!! Yeah, Auburn has the third best record in the nation over the last 3 years, best in the SEC overall over the last 4, and have made the Iron Bowl a joke w/their dominance over BAMA the last 5 years...yeah, us "Aubies" are really shakin in our boots.. hahahaha!! Auburn is playin sucky right now, no doubt, however we played sucky against BAMA last year and came out of T-town with the W. Until BAMA shows to be a jugernaut ya'll may want to chill that noise a bit....heck, at least when BAMA can beat the Tigers again I'll listen to it.

and I dont like auburn either
(CBS4) There's no denying Nick Saban will be remembered in South Florida as a first-class fibber.

Saban misled his boss, players and fans, leaving the Miami Dolphins for Alabama when he said he wouldn't. In the wake of his departure, Saban was excoriated in newspaper columns and on talk shows as a loser and -- almost as bad -- a liar.

But there are some coaches who aren't liars. Former Dolphins coach Don Shula valued his integrity even more than his NFL-record 347 victories, and he found Saban's disingenuous denials unseemly.

Shula said Saban made it sound as if he wanted to be with the Dolphins. Shula's son, Mike, was fired as head coach of Alabama.

Miami Herald columnist Edwin Pope wrote for today's edition that "lies are like ****roaches." In Pope's words: "Where there is one, there is always another, and another."

Saban preached loyalty and perseverance, then quit after going 15-17 in two seasons. To compound the crime, he told his players and owner Wayne Huizenga he was staying in Miami, and said two weeks ago he was not going to be the Alabama coach.
Let me put an abrupt end to the "Liar, Liar" segment of this post.... Who here would lie and take a job for $4 million a year over 8 years???? Exactly. I'm no Saban fan, but I can't hate on the fella for lying to the Dolphins for 32 mil....heck, if we found out he lied to God for 32 mil I'd find it hard to disagree or disapprove of his actions.
You never tell your current employer that you're looking for another job.

Sabian was still in the middle of the season when talk about him going to Alabama came up. Reporters asked him point blank and he had no choice but to be vague about it. How can he expect his players to do their best if they know he's leaving? Once the season was over, he made his announcement and went with the bigger pay check. Who wouldn't do that?

What this has to do with anything, who knows. If Sabain can't beat Auburn, he'll be out on his butt as well.
I don't know what all the LSU fans are still upset about. Saban gave them a national championship and they've been playing with his talent ever since he left! They may just win another ring this year and 75% of that credit has to go to Saban for bringing in the talent.

Saban took his licking in the NFL. It's no secret that a man would want to go back to where he was successful.

If Saban wants out of Alabama, yeah he'll leave. But if he gives us what he gave LSU...I can't honestly say I'll be upset. Add to that the fact that right now he's the most popular person in the entire state and he's being considered "the savior" of one of the greatest college football programs of all-time.

If I was him I'd be ready to leave too! He's definitely in a tough spot. (can you sense the sarcasm?)
Thanks for the link... Several things come to mind here. Even though its an MSNBC link they are quoting out of the Miami Herald. Biased? I'm sure. Next you have an ex-Dolphin coach who still has ties with the Dolphins. Biased? Thinking yeah. This same coaches son just lost his job with the same school Saban is going to. Biased? I would be if i were in his shoes. But i did lose alot of respect fo the Don during all of this. He is a coach and should have understood the whole process.all because of articles like the one supplied above. And i may be wrong, but didnt Saban take a cut in pay to go to Bama?

You're correct, but I don't think it was ever about money, and that's what pisses Miami fans off most. They can't believe somebody would rather coach college football in Tuscaloosa than coach pro football in Miami. LSU fans are pissed because he left there to try the NFL. When he found out what it was like to coach in the NFL, (or maybe his wife told him she didn't like living in Miami...who would?) it was too late. They had Les Miles.
As for the"liar" aspects of the coaching profession....if LSU were to go undefeated and had a Sugar Bowl match-up with USC, and a week before the game a reporter ask Les Miles "are going to be the next head coach at Michigan". What do you think he'd say ?

I understand the point you are making, but when Tubby said he would only leave Ole Miss in a pine box, I happened to find it in poor taste when he left after that press release! Of course, he left in a plane called Pine Box, according to reports, so perhaps that was his way of screwing Ole Miss while making a Carol Burnett-esque signal to Auburn on TV. As for the fact that one doesn't contact their current employer when contemplating a job change, it's a bit different when things are so well publicized and I think he should have been, at least, speculatively honest.

FYI Saban took a paycut to come to Bama
