Oh no, so sad to hear. "GG" is still one of my all time favorite shows.

I second that!!!
Mine too, I just love curling up in my bed with some popcorn and watching those sweet ladies!
One of the many great "clean" shows in syndication..... so sad that Betty White is the only one left.

While I absolutely adore the Golden Girls, I'm not so sure it counts as a "clean" show.
It is really sad - Rue was only 76, not even that old. She was great on Mama's Family also.
Especially not that hussy Blanche! I remember she had great comedic timing and a wonderful smile.

Look out Ronnie! She'll get "Big Daddy" after you for that! lol
My wife loves Golden Girls. She was devastated to hear that another of the fabulous four were gone.
I agree that GG wasn't all that "clean" of a show. They were among the first sitcoms to tackles some of our more controversial issues.

The brilliant thing about the show is that all of the actresses were first rate. It remains one of the funniest shows and the jokes never get old. My favorite was always Dorothy (love Bea Arthur) but they were all outstanding.
Blanche was my favorite character and I've enjoyed seeing Rue McLanahan in other things as well. I was so sorry to hear of her passing. I remember watching The Golden Girls with my Mom when it was on originally so every time I see a re-run it reminds me of her and brings back the sadness of losing her. The deaths of Estelle Getty and Bea Arthur and now Rue make my Mom seem even farther away. Please, Betty, stay with us awhile.
One of the best comedies of all time in my opinion. Even though I've seen them all many, many times the jokes are still hilarious. I love Rose's stories about St. Olaf. Now Rose is the only one left. I hope she stays with us for a while longer.
RIP Rue
RIP Rue
I believe she intends to. She has a new show coming out soon and is still doing a comedy tour. She seems to be still pretty lively these days and I pray she continues to be. RIP Rue!
Did you happen catch her on Saturday Night Live recently? I thought she did a great job. You're right she seems to be very lively these days and I'm glad to see it. I think she just wants to keep herself busy. Maybe that's what keeps her going so strong.
Betty White's new show is "Hot In Cleveland" and premieres next week - June 16th - on TV Land.
