Well, I can't wait for the SNL skit of Boehner crying. You know it's coming when "The View" start making fun of him! Big Grin

From THE WIRE/Business Insider:
Ladies Of 'The View' Mock 'Weeper Of The House' Boehner For His Teary 60 Minutes Interview
Steven Loeb | Dec. 13, 2010, 4:13 PM

During his 60 Minutes interview on Sunday, incoming Speaker of the House John Boehner teared up while discussing his life. Today the ladies of The View nearly shed tears over it also....tears of laughter.

Whoopi Goldberg pretended to cry while introducing the clip, Barbara Walters said that he seemed to have an "emotional problem" and Joy Behar mockingly called him the "Weeper of the House."

"He cries only when he talks about how sad his life was. He had to sweep floors, he was a janitor and he pursued the American dream. And yet he has very little empathy for people who are in that position now," Behar said.

Unsurprisingly, the only one to come to Boehner's defense was Elizabeth Hasselback, who scolded her co-hosts for labeling him as a "bad guy" just for becoming emotional

There is nothing wrong with a grown man shedding tears, but Boehner's threshold for tearing up is set much lower than that of most people. He came from humble beginnings, but made something of himself through hard work and perseverance, and reflecting on THAT gets him all teary-eyed. The question, though, is whether he is truly empathetic to the millions now suffering the losses of their jobs and their homes, in most cases through no fault of their own. I am waiting to see him get as emotional over that as he does when he remembers his old janitor/barkeeper days.
