This morning I went to the Post Office. You would think that the day after a holiday the Post Office would know that they might be slammed and prepare for it. However, when I got there, there were 22 people in line and one window open. No new windows were ever opened for service even though the line kept growing. I stood in line for 26 minutes.

For all you national health care advocates, the same geniuses that run the Post Office will be running our health care system soon. I just hope you aren't too sick when you are standing in that inevitable line.

I hate going to the Florence Post Office with a passion. It has to be one of the worst run in the country. I use Internet postage from home and only go there unless I absolutely have to and if I have time on my hands! LOL

And have you ever noticed how SLOW the employees move? It's like they are sedated.

So what you're saying is that if we have an accident or other emergency, don't go to the hospital? Go to the Post Office? Ok then! Wink
You must have went into Tuscumbia out on the highway. I went in there the other day at lunch time, two women were over in the corner, not in line talking about who knows what. I go up to the counter and he tells me they were here first that I have to wait my turn. They continue to talk for another 10 mins and never go to the counter. I walked out. That will be my last visit to that one.

It seems like you should have known that the post office would be slammed the day after a holiday. Don't blame the post office for your poor planning. You also have other choices besides going to the post office and you chose the wrong one on that day. Its not the post office's fault that you made a bad choice.

I can only hope you are being sarcastic. If not, please return to your soap operas and leave these threads to the adults.

Got news for you... the post office has been that way for a looonnnnnggggg time... I remember it being that way about 10 years ago and it hasn't gotten any better, so don't blame the current government.
