ok.. i've had a lot of fun here in the past, but this new format is to awkward. i'm gonna give it a whirl, i suppose, but i doubt i'll be around much longer.

i just don't like anything about the new format.. at all. nothing.

i'm going to try and cowboy up and deal, but the great part about the old format was the simplicity. i come here for diversion and entertainment, and when the game is changed in mid stroke, it's really just not entertaining. i'll try, but i expect this is pretty much the end for me.

to keep the topic relevent, has anyone wondered  when Jesus makes he big re-appearence, will he still be wearing that linen dress? will he be in a 3 peice suit? jeans and a t-shirt? studded leather?

I've heard it said that when Jesus makes his second coming-he'll be riding a Harley.
That explains why he hasn't re-appeared yet...He's still stranded out in a cornfield in Nebraska, waiting for parts.

I haven't heard of too many that really like the new format of the newsgroup/forum but then change is usually objected to at the start.  I just never knew they were even contemplating the move to a new system.  There are some things I think all of us will have to get used to but I also believe that there are some positive things to the new system.  I believe that the search capability is improved but I think there are many things that we all have yet to learn and get used to.

One thing I have noticed is that the graphics that Bill tends to use every post have shrank or at least aren't displa*** as large as they were.  As of now I like the older style and it's simplicity but I also don't have any great objections to the new style either.

One possible exception.  I noticed in the terms of service references to subscriptions and fees and I'm wondering if the Times Daily folks are going to the new system in order to implement some kind of subscription based service for the forums?  If that's the case then count me out.  Not because of the money but the prin****l.  IF the forums are going to serve the purpose they do and are to serve then they should be accessible to all otherwise it becomes just a paid advertising service.

On a completely different note now.  Does anyone know where to find the demarcations or listings of just what the point distinctions are for the various titles?  I know I became a Post Master with the new system and Bill as well as some of the other ones Old Faithfuls.  No where can I find though where it tells the barriers that define each category.

Windsong when you have religion category at the top, look to the right for start new topic.

Nevermind, edit and delete have appeared today.

The EDIT or DELETE only shows up after you create a post.  The Edit & Delete are then located at the bottom left when you mouse over your post.  The EDIT is a paper with a pencil symbol whereas the Delete is a Trash Can symbol.  The symbols only come up and show themselves when you mouse over your post/comment/reply.

As for a "fee" I'm wondering if this new format is but a step in that direction, at least that's my su****ion.

When you bring up the Religion forum, or another, from the subject page, there is a BLUE + to the right that says POST NEW TOPIC beside it.  This is where you go to start a new topic.  You can also click the QUICK Post to go to the shortcut screen for posting.  To reply you can click on the Rectangle that says Post Reply and it will give you a blank window to type your reply or response.  If you want to quote in your reply you can select the text you want to reply with and then choose the Reply with Quote Now symbol that is in the lower right below the post you wish to quote.  Then click the Submit Reply Rectangle to post the reply.  Hope that helps.

I've wondered quite a bit as what He would look like. This verse helps.

1Jn 3:2  Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Peace,

p.s. love the new format!
