Hi to my Forum Friends,

While I am a conservative Christian believer -- I will be the first to say that this is Political Correctness Gone Wild!

RE: http://www.timesdaily.com/arti...00908/APA/1009080634

It made me laugh -- but, it also made me sad that we are so overly sensitive to words whose meanings have been changed by societal moralities.

My first thought when reading the article was, "I wonder about the Microsoft XBox Customer Service employee who flat refused to listen to their customer or to accept his explanation that this has been the name of their town since the 1800s. Is the employee homosexual or lesbian and that is why he/she totally closed his mind and refused to even Google the zip code or town name?"

If so, then this employee need to undergo "desensitivity training" to lessen his/her animosity toward all non-gay people.

"Gay" was happy -- long before it was gay.

Just a thought!

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

I agree Bill! This is crazy!

It is a sad day when PC is taken to the uber extreme such as this incident. I feel sorry for the guy. Frowner I mean he is unemployed and all he wanted to do was play some xbox and this is the kind of response he got.

Hopefully this employee will have learned a lesson in customer service as well as not jumping to unfounded conclusions.

There are only a few words that I consider to be derogatory and should not be used anymore. Gay is not one of them. Heck even gay people still call themselves gay.
