Mary knew the child in her womb was miraculous. Mary, aware that she didn't

know man, but understood what the angel had told her. And the Holy Spirit

instilled in her a vast amount of knowledge that was needed to cope with

such a historical event. The thousands of years of waiting was going to

end with the birth of God's Son. Upon entering the house of Elizabeth, she

knew exactly that she was to be the Mother of God with her announcement.

"Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold,

you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his

name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High .

The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will

overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy,

the Son of God." Lk. 1:30-33, 35.

Hi Vic,

I agree with you that Mary was a beautiful young lady, very devout in her belief and faith in God.  Matter of fact, she had such strong faith that when the archangel Gabriel told her she going to be pregnant with a holy child -- even though she was a virgin, she did not doubt what God's messenger had told her.  That, my Friend, takes great faith.

She was a very blessed woman in all ways.  But, she was still just that -- a mortal woman who possessed an Adamic Sin Nature, who needed a Savior, and, who, upon her death entered heaven like all believers enter heaven, in spirit.  One day, along with billions of other believers, she will receive her glorified, immortal body.

But, to say she is the Mother of God (as opposed to the mother of our Lord, the man, Jesus Christ); to say she was born without sin; to say that she is the Queen of Heaven; to say that she is the Co-Mediator, Co-Redeemer, and our salvation depends upon our relationship with her -- is absolutely false teaching and is not Biblical.

To say that she remained a perpetual virgin, since the Bible clearly tells us she had other children -- is a false teaching and is not Biblical.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Amen, Vic. I think that someday some people will be surprised at how God responds to people denouncing His mother- that is unfortunate. I really feel Sorry for people who don't look to our blessed Mother- she is an advocate, a messenger, and she has the ear of her Son. Sure, we can always go directly to Jesus in prayer, but sometimes it's wonderful to have a spiritual mother as well. Blessed be God forever.

Hi VP,

If you can show me that in the Bible, anywhere in the 66, I will join you in believing.   But, Vatican written papers do not count.

Where can I find this in Scripture?

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bible - 66 BOOKS

==============

one of my favorite Aerosmith songs has a verse that something like this:" it's the same old same old song and dance... My friends..."

 Listen to it sometime Gray.

Hi Smokey,

That may be true, but Satan has been spreading his lies for many thousands of years, since he met Eve in the garden.

And, the Roman Catholic church has been propagating false teachings and erroneous doctrines since about 312.   So, when VP trots out her very erroneous Mariology doctrines -- I see no problem in asking her, or you, to show us that teaching in the Bible, any of the 66 books.

Why do you complain about my questions -- instead of just giving an honest answer?  Maybe, because you have no honest answer?   Just a thought!

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Hey billie rainbow boy, the above is a lie. Do you ever tire of lying?

No I guess not, you got that bogus "stay out of Hell card" which isn't

going to work. Some day you'll find your lying blasphemous azz in hell

anyway.

Answer this.........Matt 18: 18

Amen, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven,

and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Hi VP,

The bolded part of your statement, I agree with completely.  Mary was indeed full of God's grace, the same as all Christian believers.  Mary is indeed very blessed to have been chosen by God to be the mortal womb through which our Lord, Jesus Christ, would be born so that He could be like His brethren in all ways (Hebrews 2:17).

And, most certainly the fruit of her womb, Jesus Christ, is very blessed and holy, since He is fully God and fully Man -- the Son of God.

But as far as Mary praying for anyone -- you might as well ask Sam Smith, Joe Jones, Pancho, Jorge, or any other saint (believer) in heaven.  For none of them will be praying for us -- they are too busy worshiping God.

If you want intercessory prayers, I suggest you ask someone who is still alive in this mortal body -- for once they pass that threshold and enter heaven, they have better things to do -- worship God.

But, my Friend, I am happy that we did find some common ground on which we agree.  I would say we are making progress.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Maybe someday soon, those of you that argue with Billy will realize it's getting you no where & accomplishes nothing.

Please--use the plural form, "posts," when you are referring to more than one post.  Same goes for references to more than one atheist, more than one Baptist, or more than one of any noun with a singular form ending in "ist". This rule is all too often violated on the forums.  I suspect you do not commit the latter type of infraction, but your "post" reminds me of others who do.

I would love to know how my imperfect post hurt you in any way?
