Based on what I have been able to scrounge up on the net, neither one knew that they were related. The article you linked to would not open so I had to do a little searching. Not a big fan of Rudy anyway, I wish Newt would run.

You do make a very good point and Newt would not stand a good chance of winning from the moarl party,unless he goes to Rehab first.

I like Newt because he is intelligent, conservative and I believe truly cares about this country. I need to dig a little deeper into his books. The excerpts I have read lead me to believe they are very good. He is, from what I have read, one of the most knowledgeable scholars of US history.

Newt is a great ideas man, but his leadership skills aren't the best. He'd make a great VP.

I'm not so sure his leadership skills are bad. I just think he bit off more than he could chew with his "contract with America". He didn't have a strong enough majority to back up all the things he wanted to do.
