Haven't heard anything. I assume it hasn't gone to trial yet or we would know.

He is still practicing though, which I find odd since the most serious charges involve alleged misdealings that abused his position as a prescription-writing psychiatrist.

Maybe if they couldn't get his license suspended it means that the case against him is not that strong? Not sure, just a thought.

His wife was also charged with something at the same time, although she may just be guilty of being married to the wrong guy at the wrong time in the middle of the wrong government sting....
I think Madison Co. is pretty backed up on cases. But I fail to see a connection between a defendant's lawyer and the time it takes to go to grand jury. It should be more a function of caseload, how often the grand jury convenes, and the amount of evidence necessary to get an indictment. If a lot of investigation is necessary it's going to take longer to get the case to the GJ.
Yeah, basically, but I guess most tactics like that come after the indictment. Look at the infamous rape case of last year. Judge Dempsey had to tell the Austins they were going to trial no matter what before they stopped trying have hearing after hearing. Now same thing about his teaching license. Think that will finally be settled this month.
