That harm. Enforced and deliberate ignorance.

Not one of these poor students will ever have one shred of scientific or logical integrity or credibility.

The South has regressed since I was taught biology in high school. I wonder if the "teacher" explained to that last guy that white people evolved ighter skin from black people. Has that kid never read a National Geographic or been to a museum?

It's pathetic and maddening. Makes me want to go up to Dayton and open up an Evolution shop in a mall.

Hi Deep,

Actually, we all evolved from brown skin people. The norm for skin pigment, i.e., melanin is brown skin.

True, it is very likely that the Garden of Eden could have been nearer northern Africa than Iraq as many believe. And, the first man, Adam, was from there. However, man was created in a perfect climate, so the skin melanin would have been normal, i.e, brown skin.

Then, as God dispersed the people, after Babel, into different geographical areas -- and, after the flood, climates changed. Those migrating into the African countries, which had become hotter, would have more melanin to protect their skin and became dark skinned.

And, those migrating into what became the European countries, which was a much milder climate, had fewer melanin -- thus they were whiter.

Therefore, it appears that this high school science class had better insight than you.

Praise God for a teacher who is not afraid to stand science and creation side by side to allow intelligent students to decide for themselves what to believe.

But, we know that atheists/evolutionist will ALWAYS wet their pants over this issue -- for they know that, given a fair game, their team will most always lose.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Thank you Bill, I was having a bad day till I read your post. I've been laughing historically now for like 5 minutes now at that outlandish piece of fiction you wrote.

When God dispersed the people into other geographical areas, why did he forget to tell them it was he that did it so they could pay respects and worship him. Did we all have an Adam in every geographical area? Or did he just reach down and sprinkle a few of us into different places and just figure that we would figure it out on our own?

Always lose? Explain how. Use evidence to back your claim...oh wait...that's right you don't have any. Science currently has a monopoly on that evidence thing.

Bill it is you who truly loses in the end. Spending life convincing yourself of something that you cannot prove.

Also while your busy judging us Atheists, you may want to refer back to a part of your good book. Mathew 7 1-6 I do believe it is.

You do realize you are talking about evolution here right? So you now believe in evolution. Does that mean you are an atheist too?

Oh, I realize that, b50. It's one of the outrages that this sort of miseducation perpetuates.

When students come into physics class, incredulous of basic science, are they coddled and shielded from real science? Say a kid comes in and says "Of course a heavier object falls faster than a light one in a vacuum". What sorry excuse for a teacher would let him continue to believe that? It's an insult, it's a disgrace, and it's a crime against human collective intelligence.

*facepalm at Bill's idiocy*

Loki, the difference between that poor boy asking the skin color question and Bill is that the boy deserved an honest answer, by which he might have learned something. Bill already knows better, yet spews his lies in a deliberate attempt to undermine science. He hopes that, by doing this, that religion will somehow be buttressed.

The illogic of his mind is a very poor reflection on the fundamentalist philosophy, such as it is.

Hi Jan,

Of course I am -- MICRO Evolution -- NOT macro evolution which is what Darwinian Evolution defines. I have always supported this level of evolution -- as does the Bible.

Hi Net,

You seem to have a reading comprehension problem. Where do you get anything except a Middle Eastern Jewish brown skin Jesus?

What you are trying to ask for is the BCE and CE classification of time -- which is only for Liberals and atheists. No, I will stick to BC (Before Christ) and AD (Anno Domini - Latin for The Year Of Our Lord).

When it comes to my faith -- I do not have to be politically correct -- only Biblically correct.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Hi Loki,

Since you have chosen to quote the Bible; I will give you a verse which seems to be more appropriate -- and it comes straight from the mouth of Jesus Christ:

Matthew 23:33, "You serpents, you brood of vipers, how will you escape the sentence of hell?"

Now, don't you think that fits better when we are dialoguing with atheists?

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Ok, sorry for the confusion, use any time line you want. WHEN was Adam created? What year?

What truly disturbs me about this is that the idiots cannot see that allowing Creationism in a science would require that we also teach other religion's beliefs.

If the fundies can overturn the Constitution they could have their way.

It seems to me that these two references are closely linked when we look at the larger scope.

In the chapter 7 reference, Jesus is teaching his followers to stay away from judging others as the pious and religious orthodox were doing.

Those same pious and judgmental people, who seem so obsessed with appearances and methodologies, are the ones he calls vipers in the chapter 23 reference.

So the admonishment from Jesus was not for the yet to believe but for those who thought they had it all together and held all the answers.

From my reading it seems that Jesus' most harsh criticisms were always reserved for the ones who knew their Torah and meticulously observed it at the expense of a pure love of God and service to neighbor.
Yes, no matter how you measure it, Bill cannot reconcile the fact that humans were here long before his mythology says they were magically created. This person's arrogance is only exceeded by his ignorance. This is at least the third time I have bested his weak arguments in debate, not that he would ever admit it.

Brilliant.

Unfortunately, your aim was off. The intended target(s) of this analysis will never get it.

Not only were we here long before his fairy tale, but we originated in the savannas of Africa. 200,000 years ago, we were all Black and African. Those of us who are otherwise now are derivative of our Black African ancestors, of that age and long before. Humans came from Africa. Look it up. To dispute this is to demonstrate ignorance.

Netracer has it right. Unlike certain others, Net acknowledges tangible knowledge and forms his view of reality on that.

How unusual around here. Or is it? We are legion.

Hi Deep,

I am very surprised at you. You claim to have great scientific knowledge -- but, you ignore the cause of skin color -- melanin in the skin pigment. A proven, long known fact of science.

But, I guess you ignore all science except what you want to bless, i.e., the "Missing Links" of Darwinian Evolution.

By the way, I agree with you that most likely the Garden of Eden was in Northern Africa; however, at that time, it was a very mild, pleasant climate.

Hence, all our early ancestors were brown skin -- which is the norm for skin color. We whites and the darker skinned people are the extremes.

Deep, my Friend, you really need to study more science.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

I am trying to wrap my small brain around this...
6000 (or so) years ago, the earth was created, and 2 humans were made from dirt (?). A talking snake was sent to "tempt" the humans by a creator that already knew the end result. Then a BUNCH of men were born (who was the Second woman on earth?) and eventually populated the entire earth.
Then God got really ticked off, killed EVERYONE and EVERYTHING except a boat load of people that were all related. Then those people once again populated the earth and changed colors based on climate... and this all happened in 6000 years... When did the dinosaurs live and why did they all die? The flood? But I thought God specifically told Noah to get .... wait.. ok.. it's too late.. I'll wait until Sunday at church to get answers to my SCIENCE questions.. or I'll go to an Alabama public school and ask a teacher..

So tell us Bill why or how that melanin disappeared and produced white folks?

NotRock,

It's not nice to make fun of the slow kids.

What's new is that my atheist viewpoint is catching on in a major way. And for the best of reasons.

The God Hypothesis has failed. More and more people are realizing it, and simply decline to clutter their lives with the unnecessary complications of the gods.

It must be difficult for you to explain how the universe was created with us in mind. We are biological creatures on an admittedly special planet, but only a planet. With the millions of galaxies, and trillions of suns, and Brazilians of planets circling them, and a Universe that is practically (but not really) infinite, you think that God made it all for us?

Really?

I'm incapable of that sort of hubris. Sorry. I think you are, too. You don't strike me as the haughty type. OK, not THAT haughty.

But the Creationists teach that the Universe was created for our benefit. As if we won't go extinct in a million years like 99.8% of species who've inhabited our planet. As if we are endowed with the Divine Spark.

Please.

It's enough to make a cat laugh.
