The Times Daily is advertising to fill the position of Executive Editor, a position that, until at least as recently as this past Saturday (as shown on masthead) was occupied by Scott Morris.  Subsequent s mastheads list someone named Bruce McClellan as "Interim Executive Editor."

I have read nothing about Morris leaving his post.  When he became executive editor a few years ago, he stated that he intended that to be his final job before retirement.  If he indeed retired, one would have expected some kind of announcement or a "good bye" column.

Does anyone have any details concerning this newsworthy matter?

And speaking of TD staff, why have we seen no columns or news stories from Mike Goens in many weeks?  His contributions used to be plentiful, but are seen no more.

I yam what I yam and that's all I yam--but it is enough!

Someone said he had a serious health problem

___

If so. I hope he finds relief.  I often disagree with him, but he has been a steady old workhorse at the TD and does a workmanlike job--especially in tracking business matters, including early tips on new businesses coming to the Shoals.
