In public speaking, the pause is meant to basically underline what you are saying. The problem is he's using it during a scene transition which causes two problems. If you are paying attention it throws off your train of thought. If you aren't it just feels like a awkward pause. The multiple pauses in a short amount of time along with the 'sincere' look at the end just makes it all feel off.

I really hope that he got a 'friend' to do the commercials and didn't pay a real agency as it's really is amateur.

I havent trusted him since his first 'english only' ad. Come on, we all know that the majority of the illegals dont have their license or insurance (why follow that law, they are here illegally), so why would they worry about what language the test is in?
