Can someone please help me remember the time of a particular restaurant. When I was a kid, (about 15 years ago) my father use to take me to a place on jackson highway in sheffield ALL THE TIME. It was right to the side of hellen keller hospital. If my memory is correct, it was next to george's maybe? They had the BEST Salisbury steak and vegetables I ever had in my entire life. Of course, I was like 8 at the time. But I remember this place being absolutely delicious. Does anyone have a clue what I'm talking about?

The Burns brothers told me that their clientele was made up mostly of fixed or low income people. As prices rose in the early 80's, it became impossible for them to pass along their cost increases due to their customer base either unwilling or unable to afford the increases. Keller Hospital had been interested in the property for some time, and finally made an "offer they couldn't refuse". Keller razed the building, and put up a parking lot along with some new buildings. On a side note, Keller Hospital also outbid Burn's for the Colbert County jail meals. It was sad to see the end of the restaurant as it was a very affordable, and excellent quality meal. Frank and Murry were also very good people who gave quite a bit to charity, and were known to feed homeless people who came by looking for a meal.
