All of the controversy about UNA buying Florence Country Club for student housing made me wonder if anyone had considered what would become of the physical building that is now ECM if Regional Care does actually build a new hospital. It seems to me THIS would make more sense to be annexed into UNA as housing space. I mean as big as it is it could also double as classrooms, especially for the nursing program and might even be more cost effective than building a new science building. Plenty of room, close to the campus and even a parking deck. What are the proposals for the old hospital? Please don't tell me they are planning on just tearing it down.
