You have stated many times that I am a cheerleader for Bill. Let me assure you I am not a cheerleader for amyone on this forum. I don't really understand why you would say this. You seem to take offfence toward anyone who corresponds favorably with Bill. I am curious, and not in a condescending way, why you get defensive when someone agrees with something that Bill writes. If you do not agree with a response why not address the response and not the person. We should be able to politely disagree, and notice I did say we, including myself.

---------------------

The problem isn't with you agreeing with bill, it's what you call and say about others when you agree with him that is the problem, well, my problem, I can't speak for others.

Hi GD,

Regardless of what you have learned from Herbert W. Armstrong, the HAS in John 6:47, according to Strong's Bible Concordance is the Greek word "echō" which means, "1) to have, i.e. to hold; 2) to have i.e. own, possess."

So, that tells me that what Jesus meant in John 6:47, when He says, "He who believes HAS eternal life" is "He who believes 'owns, possesses, to have and hold forever' eternal life."   And, by the way, eternal does mean "forever."

But, GD, if you choose to believe that you have had salvation and then lost it -- not a problem.  At least, not for me.  But, for you -- that is a major, eternal problem.  It means that either, (1) you have never had salvation, or it means that (2) you have salvation, but, do not believe you can hold on to it regardless of the promise of Jesus Christ.  Therefore, you have no eternal security, no assurance that you will be saved eternally.  If that is the way you believe --  that is sad.

Personally, I believe Jesus Christ -- not Herbert W. Armstrong nor L. Ray Smith.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

If you get up everyday saying you're gonna sin, then you will. If the Holy Spirit is ALWAYS with you, then why choose to do the wrong thing? I know everyone sins but to expect it before it happens doesn't make any sense to me. If you know before you do something that it's wrong then why do it?

If you will go back & look at all the post you've made in  Religion, you will see in all of them you're cheerleading Billy on. You call Jenn & I names because we don't like Bill. When you first registered here, you were a female from California, later after being called a cheerleader for Bill, you changed your status to a male, with location someplace else. When you do post, it's only when Bill is in deep do do & you come in to defend him. Then you go weeks w/o posting, then it's the same thing all over again . Kinda sounds like a rat in the pantry to me.

I do not take offense to anyone that corresponds favorably with Bill. What offends me is anyone that calls themselves a Christian & thinks it's ok for Bill to lie & talk to people the way he does. If you don't think he's lied, there's post on here proving he lied, not once, but many times. There's only 3 people on this forum that corresponds favorably with Bill. You, hippie, & another, can't think of his ID right now.

I address the person because of the lies he tells. He's a wolf in sheep's clothing & it amazes me that people can't see that.

I would not act very good. In fact I would act like I did before I finally accepted Jesus as my salvation and realized that the Holy Spirit lies within me and not in some far away place in the sky. I believe God has forgiven my sins through the life, death and resurection of Jesus. I have sinned in the past and continue to sin today not only in the things I do but in the things I do not do. What really bothers me is seeing unbelievers doing more good and caring more for other people than I do as a Christian. Sometimes I wonder when I face God if I'll have to explain why.

Just to clarify and get back on topic, No one is saying that there is no god in this scenario, the question is what IF all the rest was still the same and the only difference is that there is no reward or punishment when you died? Would you live your life the same?

I have found that many Christian will say that without a belief in God and an afterlife that they would be bad people. I had one person on this forum a few years ago tell me that without his belief in god that he would probably go around shooting people that made him angry. When I hear things like that it scares the poo poo out of me. If that is all that is keeping someone from killing or hurting others I say we had better hope religious belief sticks around for the ones that use it to keep from going commando on society.

You have totally lost me my dear. I have never claimed  to be from California.  I have never even been to California. I have never said I was female in any post. I guess if I held you to the same standard you hold Bill to I would call you a liar. But I get no pleasure from calling you a liar and it would do me or you either one any good. You and others have always refered to me as being female as if you knew what you were talking about so I let you continue to do so. I saw no reason to tell you different and you wouldn't have believed me anyway. You asked me sincerely what I felt and I gave you a sincere answer. Yes I do know right from wrong and sometimes I choose to do the wrong thing. You may not understand this but that is the way it is. I will have to answer to God for this and it is not something I am proud of. Just as any person knows right from wrong and chooses to do the wrong thing, I also am human and not perfect. If you are perfect and never do anything wrong you have managed to do what only one other person has done on this earth....congratulations.

________

That's funny.... ....how could I be a liar when I'm repeating what you put as your status? It's changed now & we can't see that kind of info. When you first registered here & immediately came in cheerleading for Bill, I looked at your status. That is where it said you were a female from California, then later, your status changed to a male, with your location elsewhere.

Since you didn't answer my question, I assume you agree with the lies Bill has been proven to of told.

I'm not sure if God exist or not. Either way, I don't care anymore.

Have you ever studied the Bible where it speaks of more people going to Hell then to Heaven? That there will be people that thought they were going to Heaven, but He tells them He never knew them? You do know that the Bible says names can be and are blotted out of the Book of Life?

If that's true & I assume you believe what the Bible says, then no one can know for a fact they're going to heaven when they die. They can hope, but according to scripture, they can be wrong.

Semi,

The post was for everyone.  There's a tree I enjoyed climbing when I was visiting Tulsa, it was just so great to climb up and sit, perched looking at the surroundings..... Sometimes I feel like climbing back in that tree and sharing what's on my mind .......

If I could say something directly to you, it would be; Joy, love, and hugs.

Thats what I want for you Semi......

As far as heaven goes, I am sure I will be there, because i love Jesus and He loves me.

Semi, Jesus also loves you!!!!!!!!!

I repeat. I never said I was female and I never said I was from California. You cannot see that kind of information because it never existed. You seem to have a bad nose problem and I believe if I were you I would look into what is causing it to continue to grow before a flock of hungry woodpeckers happen by.

________

Ask anyone on here & they will tell you that information was available from the beginning to anyone that wanted to look at a person's status. It just became unavailable a few weeks ago. Why it was changed, I have no idea. Ask & see what people tell you.

Nothing wrong with my nose except for my allergies. You should be careful, your Christianity is showing.

Hi Chick,

It is still available.  It is under Extended Profile on the right side of the profile page.   Mine says I live in Southern California, was born in Tuscumbia, grew up in Sheffield.

Yours says that you live in Muscle Shoals.  Other than gender, this is basically all they have ever given.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

i want to 'go to Heaven' because Jesus is there, plain and simple.

~posted by semi...If you believe in Hell, then you should be afraid. The Bible plainly says that more people will end up in Hell than in Heaven, & when you review  the Bible in context, just about everyone is going to Hell.
You can never be 100% sure of going to Heaven, & to think you can is foolish.........plain and simple~

'just about everyone' might be going to hell or not, that's between them and God. but i'm 100% sure of Heaven for myself. i chose Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and because of that God has adopted me into His family, so i am a daughter of God. i believe that Jesus is the Christ, took my sins to the cross, and continually cleanses me with His precious blood. i know He rose again, and prepares a place for me in Heaven as He sits at the Father's right hand. He says He'll come back for me, and He will.

any who has doubt for themselves might want to recheck their hearts and be sure they are in alignment with the life God has called them to. He either speaks Truth, or He doesn't.

i respect that you may call it what you will, but i know what God has promised all those who follow Him, and i am so grateful that includes me

fear is of the devil's character, and because i don't serve him, i don't fear anything about him either. he only has power that we give him over us. i choose not to allow him to have power over me, because i serve the All Powerful God.

You may can see an Extended Profile, I can't. Only way I can see mine is to go into my private settings to change something.

Your cheerleader, Gingee, as good as call me a liar when she said "You cannot see that kind of information because it never existed". She will most likely believe it if you want to clear that up with her.

I've never said that it gave more info than gender, place of residence, & date of registration.

Why do you choose to continue sinning? Why don't you take your own advice and just stop it. You, bill, and others have said homosexuals are not sinning unless they act on their urges. In other words, if they choose to sin. So why do you act on your urges and choose to continue to sin, while at the same time you tell others they shouldn't? I'd think all you sinners, that keep acting on your urges, would say to yourself that you have no right to speak out against what anyone else does because you're doing the very same thing-acting on your urges and choosing to sin. You, bill and others think homosexuals are supposed to lead empty lives, never have love, sex, companionship with like minded adults. What if someone insisted you live the same way? Would you give up your lives because someone who is, by their own admission, a sinner that follows their urges and chooses to sin, says you should?
