Okay, that looks super creepy. I think I'll pass. Isn't that the guy from Dawson's Creek? I forget his name. I would have a hard time saying my fav. horror flick. I normally avoid them, especially the ones that a topic that could be true to life. I guess that's why I never got into the whole "Single white Female" "Obsessed" genra. I don't like slasher movie's either. I watched Poltrigeist when I was like 8 or 9 and had nightmares for over a year. Give me action/adventure, romance, or comedy any day.

"The Shining", Based on the novel by Stephen King. The Kubrick version with Jack Nicholson and Shelly Duvall. Still the best.

Can you explain to me what the scene with the man in the tuxedo and the man in the bunny costume means? I've only seen the cable version, so some things may have been edited for TV. I like the movie, but have never understood that one scene.

The scene you refer to is taken from the book. "The Overlook's" owner was known for throwing costume parties, and balls. He was also know as a "mobster". I believe the scene has to do with his male "book keeper". You can guess the rest.

it's kind of cliche now, but when it first came out, the Ring was pretty scary.

Poltergeist scared the crap out of me when i was a kid (i still hate any kind of stuffed clown)

The Exorcist.

not too many things scare me nowadays, but i try to watch all things scary anyway.

I thought "The Ring" was great. I have a friend who watched it alone in his big old house. After he and his dogs all went to bed, he said he could hear that little girl climbing out of the T.V. Finally he went to sleep and his dogs got into a turf war on the bed. Of course my friend thought that evil little girl had him and he totally destroyed the night stand in the struggle to get out of the bed. Once he made it out of bed and turned on the light the bed was empty. My friend looked under the bed and two sets of eyes were looking back. The dogs had been more terrified than their master by all the ruckus.

I saw this movie when I was first married and didn't realize that my DH is a bit of a chicken. he didn't sleep for 3 nights after we watched it, and if he had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, he would wake me up so i could watch him walk down the hall and make sure that he made it there and back safely. He's still a little chicken. if i'm watching something scary and he hears it, he'll put headphones on so he doesn't have to hear it.

It's not his fault. He didn't grow up watching movies, so these things were kind of new to him. on the plus side, since he didn't grow up watching these things, he doesn't have an issue with clowns, fears of being stabbed in the shower, or fears that a shark is going to find him (even when he's in a swimming pool) and eat him. Wink

See, I'm not the only one that got creeped out by clowns as a kid ((shudder))

i'm still creeped out, even as an adult. We don't have kids yet, but if we ever do, i will NEVER buy them a stuffed clown. if they ever get one as a gift, i will take it immediately to the dumpster. we will be a strictly 'no clown' family.
