The more I read, the more it seems that Operation Iraqi Freedom, is not a new war. It is merely an escalation or contiuance of Desert Storm. This thought saddens me, because that means we've forgotten thousands of young men and women who have been fighting a war without any credit from us.
After Desert Sheild, we never really left the area, enforcing the no-fly zones and such (active air combat). Then came Desert Fox, and the bombing of Iraq and incursions by special forces never stopped until right before this current escalation.
I could give some links, and will if asked, but some here are posting links to the point of annoyance.
I have given my stance on the war, and don't want to rehash that. Thought perhaps this is a new and interesting angle to look at this bit of equine percussion.
