When I lived in Indiana some teetotaler friends of mine worked in their yard all afternoon to the point of exhaustion. Their neighbors downed beer by the gallon as they worked - and had a party that night! I have always loved this story!

If only folks would learn to be nice and go by forum rules there would be no problems.
I think several got banned because of Double screen names....Some had two or three names on the same Ip and when this got out of hand....Times Daily just went in and shut down the Ip address of the ones that they felt was causing trouble....Some were even being accused of being someone they wasnt..and the ones that was being accused of being someone else had no idea what was going on....Just a strange situation....Maybe things will chill out for a while now....Sure hope so.....

If you're right, that's a ridiculous reason for banning anyone. Let's say my son and I have separate accounts to this forum, but on the same computer. Same IP address.

I have no idea why Bumble was Banned....However...he may have had a screen name that was banned by times daily that was associated with the same ip address..I have no idea how they work...
I hope he hurries back soon. I know how much you all miss him. Why don't you ask willy....looks like they might share the same body.

Could have been that, when they went through the list, they banned many of those that reused past user names for no other reason than that. Bumble was banned long ago under his first Bumble screen name over a misunderstanding.
Or, it could have been the 'insults here' thread. Although many of those 'insults' were thrown at friends in good fun, if someone read them out of context, it could be taken as a reason for banning.
I highly doubt that it was because he had another screen name banned. Nearly everyone here knows there are individuals that had their other personas banned this weekend, but kept their 'clean' id and are still posting with it.
Everyone needs to grow up and act like adults, its really not that difficult.
I agee. Everyone is jumping to conclusions about which thread was about which posters. It was hilarious when one poster, I don't remember who.....said outright that the poll about how to get rid of your sifnificant other was about my sweetie and me. We laughed all night about that one.
I imagine that person is probably not "in the know" so to speak , or he would have known how ridiculous he sounded.

For what's it worth.....Roofing Addict is my only screen name.....Wrkn_on_tan is her only screen name.....We use the same IP here at home...
What was really funny, was the way some people thought they could "set someone up" to post something "ban worthy" back to them, by acting "nice"

Must be some kind of childish game. People get banned and they're back again. It's really pointless. Much better if people used the forum to discuss issues, get opinions, recommend music, movies, and stuff like that. How fun that would be. But you can't do that here. It's really a shame

Yes, I do. And if you are referring to me and my comment in a certain thread about the attack being against a certain someone, I was not referring to the thread itself, but Bankheads relentless attack on a certain person. It was obvious who was being attacked, not that there was any truth it what was being said. I apologize if it came off to look like I was referring to the thread alone.
And, since it is now known who bankhead was, it should also be known that it was not done as a coordinated effort by the group as a whole (nor was anyone besides 'bankhead' aware of who 'bankhead' was), and as I said then, I do not agree with it being done, by a sheep or otherwise. That being said, I do not judge an entire group of people by the actions of a few.
That is why I bolded everyone. We are all grown ups here, there is no reason why we have to continue this little squabble all the time. Some dont like others, theres lots of past history, blah blah blah. Lets let it go. I dont like Jugflier, he doesnt like me, but we tend to make it through this life without trying to strangle each other (most of the time ;O)
Life is too short to make each other miserable all the time!
