Al Sharpton has become the lowest common denominator or something closely akin to that in his predictable emergence in any national controversy involving race. I say "predictable" because no matter how clear or how clouded the facts might be in any given instance, Sharpton always comes down on one side--and I do not have to tell you which side that is.
Sharpton's entry into public dialog was the Tawanna Brawley case, where he made a fool of himself and a travesty of that whole fraudulent business. He often demonstrates a performance up to the standard he set back then.
