No so sure. Jesus had more than twelve disciples. Could you have meant apostles?

Hi Info,

That is true. We know that 120 disciples waited and prayed in the Upper Room from the time of His ascension until the Day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came upon them.

And, many more disciples most likely accompanied Him during His three year ministry.

And, there were 13 apostles; 14 if you want to include Matthias.

As you and Sgt. Joe Friday of Dragnet would say, "Just the facts, ma'am, just the facts."

TCF is probably going to try to squeeze Mohammed into the picture. But, that's like trying to squeeze a 300 pound man into latex pants. Something has to give!

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

People get the whole "three days" thing all messed up. Jesus died - yes. Jesus was placed in a tomb - yes. Jesus rose from the grave - yes. However, He died and was placed in the tomb on day 1. He spent day 2 in the tomb and rose on the third day. Not, He died, was placed in the tomb and rose again 3 days later. If that was the case, Easter would be on Monday. That wouldn't work, now, would it?

yay JANK!!!!!! mithras is the answer!

Hi TCF,

Only for those lost in the New Age Babylonian Mystery Religions.

In reality, there is ONLY ONE who has done what you said -- Jesus Christ, God the Son.

But, then, you being a non-believer and having no spiritual discernment -- I suppose you can be happy worshiping Mithra, or a goat, or an elephant -- or whatever make belief gods you chose to follow in the world.

Your attempt to denigrate the name of Jesus Christ -- only makes you look small and pitiful.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

He had sacrificed himself to redeem mankind. Descending into the underworld, he had conquered death and had risen to life again on the third day. The holy day for this sun god was, of course, Sunday (Christians continued to follow the Jewish Sabbath until the fourth century). His many titles included ‘the Truth,’ ‘the Light,’ and ‘the Good Shepherd.’ For those who worshipped him, invoking the name of Mithras healed the sick and worked miracles. Mithras could dispense mercy and grant immortality; to his devotees he offered hope. By drinking his blood and eating his flesh (by proxy, from a slain bull) they too could conquer death. On a Day of Judgement those already dead would be raised back to life.

this was 600 years before christ, sound familiar at all?

Hi TCF,

Careful, your atheist "slip" is showing. You say that this god of yours was 600 years before Jesus Christ. Nothing or no one was BEFORE Jesus Christ. He is preexisting, which means that He has always existed. How can your god or gods be "before eternity"?

THINK, i.e., put brain in gear before starting mouth -- or typing finger.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bil

Hi TCF,

And, the moon is supposedly made of green cheese. If you are happy serving this as your god, or even green goats, or pink elephants -- that is your choice.

Whether you believe it or not -- God created you and gave you that "free will" choice with which you choose to follow other gods. You also have the "free will" to follow or to deny the true God; but, it is your choice to make.

But, it is a choice you will live with eternally.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill
