Like i said, delusional. Yes the aubbies were on probation and TB left mid season. But the Tide was on probation twice after that, starting when Dubose took over and then again when Fran took over in 2001. Add to that the revolving door in the coaches office during this time. It is only in the last couple of years that Bama has recovered from nearly getting the death penalty. So compare apples and oranges all you want too,... youre right about one thing, that crap dont fly. And like i said earlier, i think it will be close. Closer than the point spread. Thats why this is the Iron Bowl and why it is the greatest rivalry in college football and possibly all of sports.[/QUOTE]
Whose fault is it that Bammie was on probation??? Auburn's??? Did Auburn go undefeated in 1993, and 9-1-1 in '94 because of bammie's probation, or play for the SEC title in '97 because of bammie's probation... Or inspite of their own??? Auburn has done a lot more than beat bammie over the last several years also... bammie's probation doesn't help the Tiger's play any better or worse on any Saturday. That's my point.... just drop the freakin excuses as to why Auburn has owned bama over the last 6 years. Auburn was better. You talk about how great the Iron Bowl is, yet you cheapen it just because your team has been dominated. How bout this... We'll erase all the wins from bammie's down years if you'll erase all the wins from Auburn's down years... How's that sound??? LOL
