Ok Shoals it's less than a week until they kick it off in the Iron Bowl. I think everyone should tell who they are for and who they think will win. Please be good sports when you post.

I'll go first.

I'm for the Tide and think they will pull it out in the second half. I think the game will be very, very close.

I agree that as a whole, Bama is definately clicking better than Auburn this year. That's obvious. But other than one half of football against Georgia, where are ya'll getting this blowout stuff?? Bammie has struggled mightily in several games this year, many of those at Jordan-Hare West.
A few bammie games come to mind...... Tulane DOMINATED the mighty tide statistically as bama squeeked by on special teams. Kentucky comes to mind...if not for a late fumble in that one the wildcats may pull that out. Arkansas QB basically handed bama an easy win with some of the worst pick sixes in history. LSU's QB absolutely handed bama a win in what was really a dominant game by the bayou bengals. Bama had to score 16 points directly from special teams to get any kind of breathing room against lowly Miss. State.
Alabama has a solid football team, and up til a few weeks ago Auburn as a team in disaray. But Auburn is improving, and played very hard and alot better against Georgia... If that improvement continues this is a toss up.
I agree that Bama should be favored, but too many bammers are drinkin the Kool-Aid... The tide have ONE win over a team that is currently in the top 25, and several struggles against mediocre teams.. That's far from dominate. Auburn finally gets all their D back healthy and stifles the bama O to get #7 in a row...
final score
AU 5 - U of A 3
I love football,..... college football..... I love the Tide,...... and i love seeing fans of any school stick with their team....I have stuck with the Tide since my early years of learning football starting in 1969...... i havent talked smack.... since their hasnt been alot to talk about.... 6 in a row dont impress me..... not when Bama was suffering at the hands of the NCAA... But these delusional Aubbie fans completely make me laugh my ass off. Just like Auburn seemed to give up mid-year,.... their fans cant even finish a fantasy football league. With all that said, i do see a classic Iron Bowl Saturday,.... it will be close.... and if Bama isnt careful...... the Aubbies could win seven.
I know that in Auburn this week they have been planning a big celebration party after the Iron Bowl. Word on the street tis that in an effort to promote safe sex for the college students at Auburn, all the cows that kick have been painted with an "X". So ya'll be careful down there...... Wink

Roll Tide, which barring an unforseen outbreak of AIDs and Ebola at the Tuscaloosa campus this week, they will "bring" their best game to the stadium and make Tubbs rule the day he ever stuck a finger in the air. I'll be there with my duck call....

Just one quick question for ya.... Wasnt Auburn on probation in the early 90's?? And Alabama beat the Tigers how many times in a row??? hmmmmmmm... So when Auburn is on probation and has a bad coach(Terry Bowden), they aren't expected to lose every year.... But when those are bammie's exuces then Ya'll get a free pass to lose 6 in a row??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Love it... Auburn won the Iron Bowl in 93, 95, 97,.. all in the midst of probation and imediately following... Bowden leaves halfway through 98 and Auburn wins again in 2000, then 2002-2007. That bullcrap don't fly here... Auburn has had their problems too and still wins their share of iron bowls... please, drop that lame crap

The score was a joke there buddy.... Sorry to stump ya... i think my point was clear, bammie is favored as they should be, i think Auburn can win, but most likely win ugly if they do... good luck with that shoe tying thing I'm sure you have trouble with.. Wink

Like i said, delusional. Yes the aubbies were on probation and TB left mid season. But the Tide was on probation twice after that, starting when Dubose took over and then again when Fran took over in 2001. Add to that the revolving door in the coaches office during this time. It is only in the last couple of years that Bama has recovered from nearly getting the death penalty. So compare apples and oranges all you want too,... youre right about one thing, that crap dont fly. And like i said earlier, i think it will be close. Closer than the point spread. Thats why this is the Iron Bowl and why it is the greatest rivalry in college football and possibly all of sports.
Auburn 10 Alabama 9

then you can sing the rammer jammer song. after reading all these post, and seeing what yall have typed, just shows that alabama fans take everything to the limit. even when they havent won a thing yet. some of yall may even had shirts printed, just waiting, if alabama wins, I sure wished I sold t-shirts, because i would not have to work for the rest of the year. and if you dont then some poor ol alabama fan t-shirt seller, will be out in the cold.

Whose fault is it that Bammie was on probation??? Auburn's??? Did Auburn go undefeated in 1993, and 9-1-1 in '94 because of bammie's probation, or play for the SEC title in '97 because of bammie's probation... Or inspite of their own??? Auburn has done a lot more than beat bammie over the last several years also... bammie's probation doesn't help the Tiger's play any better or worse on any Saturday. That's my point.... just drop the freakin excuses as to why Auburn has owned bama over the last 6 years. Auburn was better. You talk about how great the Iron Bowl is, yet you cheapen it just because your team has been dominated. How bout this... We'll erase all the wins from bammie's down years if you'll erase all the wins from Auburn's down years... How's that sound??? LOL
I'm gonna call you signpost. The signpost however is less delusional. Keep wearing those orange colored glasses. If what you say is true, probation helps recruiting. Two things did help the aubbies win,.... probation, which i would think any simple minded person would agree, hurts recruiting. Which spills out on the field. The second thing is coaching changes. Who wants to play for a school with such an unstable program? Again, this trickles onto the playing field. Im not making excuses. These are two things that happened. Cant ignore that.
