Why Bush Hasn't Been Impeached

By Gary Kamiya

The Bush presidency is a lot of things. It's a secretive cabal, a cavalcade of incompetence, a blood-stained Church Militant, a bad rerun of "The Godfather" in which scary men in suits pay ominous visits to hospital rooms.

Interesting analyses especially when he talks about America being afraid to "confront itself." Basically "look into the mirror." We would rather live under this cloud of illusion.

I think the majority of American people are struggling to get by and things are getting tougher. They are not sure who's to blame and where to channel this anger. They are being lied too and lead around in circles by the corporate media and their political leaders who are afraid to stir up the masses. It's like hitting a bees nest and there is no telling where we will stop when it comes to impeachment, reforms and changing things.

The corporate class has it's grip on America and wants corporate globalization, the wealth gap and status quo to just keep rolling along.

The American people are looking for answers, leadership and direction but it's in the interest of ruling corporate class to keep us that way. As the author points out Bush is bringing the republicans down and the democrats come away winners by basically just coasting.

But it will backfire on the democrats, same as it did in the early 1990's when the people became fed up with the do nothing democrats and Gingrich and his "Contract with America" got swept into office. Of course it turned out to be a "Contract On America."

Things will get worse until the American people realize we have to lead the way ourselves.

They had better or else the are in for a very rude awakening. Like an alcholic or drug addict when the money runs out and and the stlye ends.

Our credit cards are maxed and the money will soon run out. Our jobs are gone and energy costs are going up. Our dollar is slipping in worth.

A very rude awakening. They are all ready looking for scapegoats but it will not solve the problem.

Yep,and they thought 1929 was bad. 1929 will be a baby next to what is coming. I read how the people in 1929 like today were sleeping, just like the folks are today and then boom.
